Torii Hunter tried to stare down and psyche out Sonny Grey in Game 2.  Sonny Grey threw gas on three straight pitches and struck him out as part of throwing 7 shutout innings.

Victor Martinez tried the same thing, more demonstrably, in Game 3.  It backfired again.

The Tigers are desperate.

And here's the Youtube:

Victor gives him the stare, Balfour clearly says "what the fuck you looking at, bitch?" in response, to which Victor naturally responds with "Fuck You, Bitch!"

And there we go from there.

Apparently there was an EXCHANGE between Cabrera and Annibal Sanchez earlier in the game, too.

Michael Wacha is pitching a NO HITTER through six. Careful, don’t mention he has a NO HITTER. Or he might lose his NO HITTER.

A NO HITTER, really a NO HITTER?

Dodgers going to try and step on the throat tonight:  Kershaw bumped up to go on 3 days rest rather than save him for Game Five If Necessary.

I kinda like the aggression, and even Kershaw at less than 100% and/or for only 6 innings is still better than a fully fresh Nolasco.  And with the day off tomorrow they could still go with a full rest Grienke in Game 5.

Boom! Also, some moron on TBS whining about sunglasses.

Edit:

Wacha Wacha Wacha Flocka Flame-out.

Hell of a play by a guy who spent all season throwing balls like that roughly into the 8th row.

They gave free tickets to all the homeless they hadn't thrown in prison for being homeless yet.

Heck of a game by Wacha. Gerrit Cole start for the Bucs on Wednesday...another clutch rookie performance?? Yes please and thanks.

Cole is going against Wainwright who was great in game 1 of the series, so it should be an interesting pitching matchup.  But you have to think that part of the reason that Cole did so well against the Cards is it being the first time he has faced the team, going to be hard for him to duplicate that again.

Cole's also been a different animal in the second half. Nearly 4:1 K:BB, much lower OPS, going deeper into games. The unfamiliarity has something to do with it, but this isn't Fred Flintstone on the mound getting lucky with shit.
