Keeping an eye out for a Gambit that thematically fits as well, but that is proving more challenging.

In the event that you didn't see the upcoming wave, I have good news for you.

found my HOLY GRAIL of collecting. This is a copy of Wonder Comics #1, from May 1939. It features and first and only appearance of Wonder Man. Created by WIll Eisner, this character was promptly sued out of existance by National (DC) Comics, for being too similar to Superman. A Wonder Man story was prepped for Wonder Comics #2 but would never see print.

This is a comic i've been searching for, for 15-20 years. i have seen FOUR come up for sale in that time, all of which were out of my price range. This was also the only non-slabbed copy, so i actually got to read this one too! i proceeded to encase it in a "slab it at home" kit from comicskin.  Here you can see it displayed with a custom Wonder Man figure i had made a few years ago (thanks for the hookup OSJ!)

Very happy for you, mate. I recognised the figure straight away as OSJ hooked you up where to go.

my AoA Gambit fig showed up in the mail yesterday! sorry, no pic(s).

now i'm feeling the pull again to track down a Storm fig that fits thematically (since they never released an AoA Storm, and TBH her outfit isn't that great in the storyline anyway). I will probably just break down and grab a DOFP Storm or something eventually.

There was a Batman: The Animated Series Kenner figures lot on eBay last year made up of nearly every figure and I forgot about it. Still haunting me.

This reminds me that eventually I'll need to pull the trigger on a MAFEX Sensational Spider-Man.

Knowing you're a big fan of Ms Marvel by G Willow Wilson/Sana Amanat, Wilson is writing a Black Cat book with Gleb Melnikov on art. Announced today:

Combat Belt Batman from Batman: The Animated Series is my holy grail Batman figure. I go on eBay every now and then to look for it along with other Batman: The Animated Series figures/Funko POP! Combat Belt Batman goes for a lot of money and you only see a few available. Two weeks ago I went on eBay by chance to find the bidding for one was closing in seven hours. I bid and I won! I got it for a great price and now it's the crown jewel of my Batman collection!

Bought The Joker from Batman: The Animated Series by Kenner to go with Combat Batman. I didn't have to beat 15 bidders like I had Combat Belt Batman, just had to pay the set price. I have Batman/The Joker from Batman: The Animated Series by Kenner.

I seek Batman: The Animated Series merchandise more than anything else as it's the best Batman ever. I got my holy grail Combat Belt Batman two years ago and I'm adding more of the original Kenner figures to my collection.

I have:

Combat Belt Batman.

The Joker.

The Phantasm.

The Scarecrow.

Catwoman.

Poison Ivy.

Mr. Freeze.

I'm wanting to get The Riddler and Two-Face. Maybe Bane. Not fussed about Robin, Clayface, Man-Bat and Killer Croc.

I liked The New Batman Adventures but don't like it as I do Batman: The Animated Series so I've never got anything of it.

i had the Ninja Robin fig as a kid. Long gone now. had the same kind of cloth cape that Batman came with, but rounded at the bottom instead of having the spikes.

Robin (Ninja) - Batman - Animated Series - Series 2 - Kenner Action Figure

Thank you for sharing. You've reminded me I don't like cloth capes. I'd say 75-80% of the Kenner Batman figures particularly Batman: The Animated Series, Batman and Robin figures are missing their capes.

A Power Rangers fan on BlueSky alerted everyone that the MMPR: The Movie Funko Pops had been restocked on their website so I waited a week, used my Disney+ Funko perk coupon, and got all six for like $80. Hell yeah. And Entertainment Earth has the CM Punk pipebomb Funko up for preorder so I grabbed that too. I’m still on the lookout for a deal on the old one he had when they first got the licensing deal with Funko, it regularly lists on eBay for hundreds of dollars.

TLDR: I bought a shitload of Funko Pops for my birthday lmao

that is crazy. i wonder what the tipping point is between "gotta get 'em all" vs. "that's too many". i would think ~20-25ish? i wonder if there's any legitimate research into sales trends on this subject.

I keep looking out on eBay for Batman: The Animated Series figures especially the original Kenner figures. I've a Combat Belt Batman and now I have two. This one pictured was only £10. No wonder so many eyes were on it so I swooped in and bought it. Great timing. That's an amazing price especially as nearly all of them are missing the cape. One of the best tenners I've ever spent.

I'm about to plop down some dough on the ToyBiz line from 1996 that featured Sensational Spider-Man on the card art. The figures were Sensational Spidey, Spider-Woman, Spider-Man 2099, Rhino and two versions of Venom (regular black & translucent). I'm looking for them all very, very MOC and I'll keep them that way - same as my Lightning Collection Power Rangers. For Christmas, I'm getting my co-worker the Mafex Scarlet Spider, and this very nice eBay seller pulled the listing for me until I get paid this week and is including the Sensational Spider-Man that Mafex did as part of a bundle deal.

I was at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago getting new tires put on my car, so I walked the toy aisle at some point and found these 2.5" metal figures of Venom & Spider-Man which are fucking AWESOME. And only $4 each. Eventually grabbed Miles & Ghost Spider, too. Apparently they also made Power Rangers once upon a time, so my eBay hunt begins for those.

If you decide you want any of the FF or Iron Man or Silver Surfer figures from that era, let me know. I think I have most of the villains.
