Guest Edwin Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I remember telling a barcelonista friend of mine either Juve or Roma were the most likely to pull off a quarter final upset and he laughed it off and said Juve's defense looked old -- which is partially true and that Roma had no chance... Also, Valverde has been great for Barça despite the super cup loss to Madrid and the Champions League elimination and they have spent a lot of money, so I don't get the "Valverde Out" nonsense.
Guest Edwin Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 1-0 Juve... Will the Italians pull off another heroic comeback in the second leg like yesterday?
Death From Above Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Couldn't happen to a nicer team or league. Fuck everything to do with Serie A and their racist shitbag league.
Guest Edwin Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Horrible foul by Benatia. Not a robbery by any chance.
cubbymark Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Penaldo strikes again. But allow me to indulge in the Toronto result from last night: ¡QUE CHINGE SU MADRE EL AMERICA!
sabremike Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 My fondest wish is that the second leg is in Mexico, the score is tied in the dying seconds, the disgusting goats fans do their homophobic gay bashing chant on a goal kick and the ball lands right at the feet of Giovinco who slots it in for the win. That would be beautiful.
cubbymark Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 The America fans do the homophobic goal kick chant much more prominently than the Chivas fans do, but when it comes to El Tri, it seems everyone does it.
ReiseReise Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Honest question: When was the last time four semi-finalists were from a different country? I honestly can't remember.

The Natural Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 The Bradford City reporter for our local paper is reporting the owners are trying to stop Stuart McCall coming tonight as Sky Sports studio guest for City vs. Shrewsbury Town at Valley Parade. Twats.

Guest Edwin Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Spanish paper Marca just tweeted an article where they said Coutinho can still win a treble if Liverpool win the Champions League... Seriously, I couldn't even make this up if I tried.
odessasteps Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Bayern vs Madrid. LFC vs Roma Salzburg vs Marseille. Arsenal vs Athletico. 2

Guest Edwin Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 ICC returns again this year to the U.S. The usual big clubs will be in again. Nothing like overpriced European b-sides playing a pre-season friendly tournament. I remember last year they were charging WrestleMania-esque prices for tickets to el Clásico Miami.
Guest Edwin Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Madrid/Roma and Marseille/Atleti are going to be the finals with the Spanish clubs dominating Europe again.

They clearly want an English team in the final. Bayern can take Madrid. For the Europa - Atleti is my pick, but I bet they'd prefer Arsenal.
Death From Above Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 I honestly don't even know what kind of fudgery it would take for Arsenal to beat Atletico Madrid. On paper I don't find those teams close. 2

sabremike Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 I saw Joe Cole (yes, THAT Joe Cole) play for the Tampa Bay Rowdies today vs Red Bulls II in USL action at Red Bull Arena in front of about 100 fans (game kicked off an hour after the MLS match ended). His team lost 5-0. 1
Wyld Samurai Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Rafa is the best manager in the PL. Sweet Jesus he has Newcastle 10th in the table! 2
Jiji Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 My Gooner friend wants him at Arsenal and I gotta say that would be an interesting proposition. He'd get them sturdy at the back and they have some good attacking options.
