mattdangerously Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Yeah, I know. But it's indy wrestling in the 21st century. It is what it is. It's dumb, but it's one of those things you just have to roll with, lest you risk eventually becoming one of those old grumps who complains that things aren't done the way Bill Watts would've done them.
zev Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 But imagining how Bill Watts would book Gordy and Williams vs. The Young Bucks could be fun, right? 11
mattdangerously Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 That would not be a very long match, I think. 1
Niners Fan in CT Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 I'd like to see the Young Bucks travel back in time to face the Rockers not just because I think it could be a fun match but I'd be interested in the size difference, Rockers being the "small dudes" in the 80s. 2

odessasteps Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 I bellieve the heavenly bodies were scheduled once on tv to wrestle dave meltzer and wade keller, who turned out to be the r-n-r

Blows my mind that 6'2" 230lbs was a "high flyer" in the 80's. Michaels would look like Nash when paired up with most of the modern high flyers. I always remember thinking that Jeff Hardy looked humongous in his ROH appearances. I'd like to see Brody, Gordy, Doc and Hansen transported in the same time machine to the modern day, like reverse terminators eliminating a wrestling future that shouldn't be. 3
Omega Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Sin Cara/hunico may be looking for a new job soon

Kevin Wilson Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 While wrestlers in the 80s were monstrous, which is incredibly noticeable when watching older wrestling now, it wouldn't really be a fair comparison since most of the roster isn't allowed to use steroids anymore. Anyone would look small next to Hogan and the Road Warriors. I'll be honest, I miss it a bit, it really put over the 'larger than life' personas. I mean I 100% understand why they cracked down on it and don't blame them, but I think people that look back longingly on wrestling in the 'old days' don't realize that drugs is what kept most of them going. Wrestlers these days are still nuts, but in the 'old days' they were nuts both in the ring and out of it.
RIPPA Posted November 7, 2016 Author Posted November 7, 2016 For those who prefer non cryptic tweets Reports are that Sin Cara and Chris Jericho got into a fight in the locker room. MLW's version is that Cara knocked Jericho out on a flight
Kevin Wilson Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 45 years old and still getting in backstage fights. Jericho always keeps it real.
odessasteps Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Good thing Jericho does not have a pony tail that can be cut off.
Niners Fan in CT Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Sin Cara's been on a rampage this year. Possibly tuning up for the octagon.
Omega Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Jericho must of done something to piss him off because everytime hunico got into a fight he was defending himself (Sheamus, Gotch)

The Natural Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Had a great time at WWE Live. I watched Chris Jericho live for the first time and finally got to see Sasha Banks in person. Wanted to see Sasha for a while. Will talk more about it when time allows.
Bustronaut Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Wait, Natural got into a fight with Jericho? 3

You keep meeting assholes all day...you're the asshole." The common thread in all these fights is Sin Cara has no chill. 2

Exactly. As an 80s kid, watching WWE Network is mind blowing, just seeing all the guys who were considered "small" back then.
