Which football player turned wrestler had the highest draft position? (Not counting celeb 1 shot footballers) the answer might surprise you,

I had three guys who immediately came to mind and they were drafted in the reverse order in which I assumed.  Ernie Ladd, 4th round, Mongo, 3rd round, Wahoo, 2nd round.

worth noting that the 1960 AFL Draft didn't have neatly defined rounds.. instead they just picked 33 guys each for the first season

Also, it’s territory era only. No Nagurski, Nominelli. No modern guys.  And someone had at least 14 matches, no one shots.

Again Russ Francis was drafted 16th overall so if it’s not him it is someone I would probably argue doesn’t count

And Russ worked AWA and the NWA so he definitely did the territories

I can see you not wanting to count the person I’m discussing. But he wrestled a good number of matches in different years.
