I don't want to be a fashion police or anything but maybe if I was Kyler Murray and I wanted to take a picture of me and my dog,  the first football jersey I would NOT wear is a Michael Vick Virginia Tech one

What's going to be the third fucking weird thing to happen to a former AFC East first-rounder? Sam Darnold kills a pigeon with an errant throw in the next Seattle game, Randy Johnson-style?

Ex-QB Mark Sanchez charged for allegedly attacking truck driver

Quote

According to an affidavit for probable cause, Sanchez allegedly accosted a truck driver at a hotel loading dock. According to the affidavit, the confrontation escalated to the point where the truck driver believed he was in danger, sprayed Sanchez in the face with pepper spray and, with Sanchez still advancing toward him, said he thought "this guy is trying to kill me."

The truck driver then pulled his knife and, with Sanchez still coming at him, said he struck Sanchez "two or three times," according to the affidavit. The truck driver said he was thrown against a dumpster and onto the ground and believed he was in a "life-or-death situation." The driver, according to the affidavit, then said "a look of shock" came to Sanchez's face and Sanchez "took off."

the charges being misdemeanors might open a door to Fox not firing Mark Sanchez... although some people probably wouldn't appreciate the concept of Fox paying for Mark Sanchez's (alcohol and/or anger) rehab stint that he'll go through until the heat dies down a little, since, well it's not like there's no shortage of former players who can call games

the charges being misdemeanors does probably increase the chance of a civil lawsuit, if that makes any sense, since the perpetrator has money and may get slapped on the wrist

I can't figure out why the fuck did Mark Sanchez think he was the loading dock police.  This poor guy was just doing his job and Sanchez ran up on him telling him he couldn't park there.  Two people almost died, because this dickhead couldn't mind his own damn business.

There's an article that has pics of the victim (they're not for the faint of heart) and Sanchez really does deserve to be locked up.

I'm hoping most of that blood belongs to Sanchez but, geez, that dude looks rough. WTF.

Mark Sanchez was listed at 6'2" 232 lbs. and as a former professional athlete, I'd say that he's in the upper echelon for strength for a large man.  There is not much that dude could have possibly done to defend himself in that situation.

I don't see a scenario where he isn't fired. I imagine it will be about the timing. I hope the guy takes him to the cleaners. . .

I feel like being fired is the least of his worries.  I don't know if I've ever heard about anyone getting stabbed multiple times and nobody thinks they're they victim.  The fact that all of this seems to be on video, I don't see any way this doesn't end up with jail time.

I get they're the ones with all the money but I don't see how Sanchez's employers have any liability here.

When I was in college I had a professor who explained lawsuits like this, "If you're going to sue somebody, sue everybody."  The amount of money you can get out of a private citizen is negligible, but you might get millions from a corporation.  The employee was in town because the company sent him there.  Did he pay for his drinks on the company card?  Sue Sanchez, sue his employer, sue whoever owns the building for not having security, sue your job for not having security, sue the restaurant you were picking up cooking oil from, sue everybody.  Some of those people won't even fight it and settle out of court.

Yeah a drunk 38 year old large former NFL player against your average man pushing 70 isn't anything resembling a fair fight and I don't blame the guy at all for stabbing the shit out of Sanchez.

OBJ announced that he has accepted a 6 game suspension for PEDs.

He will not be eligible to play for a team until Week 12

He actually failed the test last year with the Dolphins. Usually “I didn’t knowingly take anything” excuse
