EVA
Just breathtakingly douchey, all the way to the end...
NikoBaltimore
Haven't chimed in yet but while it'd be nice if SNL did more research on the guy at least they got rid of the fucker. Now that his 15 minutes are up hopefully we never hear from him again.
J.T.
On 9/15/2019 at 9:41 PM, JonnyLaw said: His apology was completely bullshit. Saying you’re sorry to anyone who was “actually offended” is a pretty obvious sign that you don’t think you did anything wrong and most people don’t either. While I realize that saying deliberately offensive or provocative things to shock people into thinking differently is well within the wheelhouse of a proper and respectable comedian, I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be done in a manner where a racist seeks affirmation of his beliefs from the audience. GuerrillaMonsoon
Tried watching some eps from 2003 last night. Every second or third skit was massively homophobic or transphobic. Watching Fallon call an entire state a bunch of queers on Weekend Update seems so far removed from how super woke it is now Edited October 20, 2019 by RolandTHTG
Dolfan in NYC
You may want to check out the Sara Lee Instagram account, because SNL birthed a new meme.

Bustronaut
I've got a bad feeling that they're gonna attempt a Mr. Rogers/Robinson sketch/video during the Murphy show.
John from Cincinnati
These NDAs are a publicity stunt to gin up interest in Pete's shows, right?
Neil Koch
I don't think so, he's been being a douche on SNL as well, like he refused to go to the makeup chair so he looked like shit. He also left one of his stand up shows because the host mentioned Ariana Grande.
GuerrillaMonsoon
This week's episode was Trump level guest host bad. What an unlikable insecure person
TimWresPowr
Are you talking about the J-Lo episode? I was very disappointed in it as I like her very much as an actress and thought the writing didn't really give her much. But I'm not connecting with your criticisms. GuerrillaMonsoon
Seemingly every skit was based around how attractive she was, and not much else. It felt like they came to her with a list of ideas, and that was all she was prepared to do, so they repeated it in different ways without a hint of self deprecation or modesty along the way. sydneybrown
Fucking LOVED the Eddie Murphy show. I was afraid they were going to make Eddie try to be one of them, but they played to his strengths instead. It's the wrestling fan in me, I think he was allowed to swear on purpose, just so he could freak out over doing it. Which made it funnier. Mr. Robinson, Buckwheat, Gumby, I lost my shit when they even brought back Velvet Jones. He's literally the most un-PC character he had, and he wasn't even that memorable of a character. This was a great version of a RAW Reunion show.
odessasteps
There are so many ways to a Mr Robinson sketch in the era of loving Fred Rogers.
Johnny Sorrow
I haven't laughed that much during SNL since Eddie was a cast member.

Dolfan in NYC
That's the first time I watched SNL from start to finish in a long, long time. Excellent work by everyone involved. You could really tell the writers brought their A games. Oh, and it's being reported that the Cosby bit from the monologue was originally supposed to be done during the 40th Anniversary special but got nixed at the last second by Lorne. Additionally, a rep for Cosby (lol), has called Eddie Murphy a "Stepin Fetchit" and "Hollywood slave" as a reply. This is a reminder that Bill Cosby violently sexually assaulted many, many women and will probably die in prison.

Wasn't Eddie actually the one who didn't want to do it the sketch? I recall something from Norm McDonald about him not wanting to simply kick Cosby when he was down. I loved the Mr. Robinson and Velvet Jones sketches.
Dewar
Finally caught up on shows. Eddie was great. Love the Weekend Update bit where they write jokes for each other to read live on air for the first time.

Ace
That was my concern with the stunt casting (and some casting overall) for the candidates. I can't see them all coming back constantly like Baldwin does.
