Elsalvajeloco Posted May 13, 2016 Author Posted May 13, 2016 Also, fighting tomorrow? JOHN INSERT EXPLETIVE OF YOUR CHOOSING LINEKER~!
Elsalvajeloco Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 The referee assignments were passed out a couple hours ago, and it does look like Eduardo Herdy is the ref for the women's bout. This could turn out really bad.
Elsalvajeloco Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 Tukhugov left that fight on the table. He let Moicano steal rounds 2 and 3.
Jiji Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 He was looking very tired halfway through the round and Stann warned us that's his main issue.
Elsalvajeloco Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 I dunno how you score that last round 9-9. That's a clear round for Serginho.
Jiji Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Gawd, I'm so hyped to see John Lineker hit a man so hard he goes out of phase.
Elsalvajeloco Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 Patrick Cummins' kryptonite showed up. First big punch from Minotoro put him on rubbery legs, and then the coffin nails were put in.
Elsalvajeloco Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 Font spent the whole fight in the fear zone. Was he waiting for Lineker to get tired whooping his ass?
TheVileOne Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Seriously, why did Lineker and Alexis Davis believe Lineker was a fucking flyweight?
Elsalvajeloco Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 What a crazy fight between Massaranduba and Medeiros. I dunno how Medeiros survived round 3 let alone finish in top position.

Because he's barely 5'3"? Against people like Font (and Rivera previously) who are not primarily wrestlers, the size advantage isn't going to be a big deal. When he's fighting someone with a great chin and able to get low on him, it's going to be very difficult for him to avoid takedowns. However, his wrestling did look a little better tonight.
Elsalvajeloco Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 Marquardt was so weary of the big kicks (for good reason as he got hurt by a body kick) that he got stunned and knocked down by a left hook off the break. Then, he got hit with a right hook that was the start of the end for him and Marreta baptized him with another left hook to the temple. Faceplant KO.
Zheroen Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 The fact that Matt Brown was officially ranked higher by the UFC than Demian Maia prior to that fight is kind of hilarious.
Jiji Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 That was one of the most enjoyable preliminary cards I can remember. Fantastic stuff top to bottom.

No, he isn't. Maia is six and Brown is eight. The fighter who is ranked higher always comes out second.
Zheroen Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 My bad, I was assuming that MMA Junkie was using the UFC's official rankings, rather than their own (obviously bullshit) list.
Elsalvajeloco Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 I had it 29-28 Shogun with the 2nd round being the difference. Corey got two takedowns in round 2, but he did nothing with them and was only on the floor for maybe 90 seconds combined. Shogun had the better offense plus the knockdown at the very end of the round. Right call imo.
