Meanwhile, I switched to the late game early (?????) and in time to watch Shane Lechler make his first official punt for Houston. 

 

With what he meant to the last dismal decade of Raider football, it was a little like seeing your ex-girlfriend on her first date with a new, hotter dude.

 

And the punt dropped and died at the four yard line.  So it's like she's wearing that dress too.

I started David Wilson and Alfred Morris and it wasn't looking very good at first.  Luckily Morris pulled out a TD for enough points for me to pull away for the win.  Doesn't look like I will be jumping in the waiver wire pool this week

I had very little grasp on this year's NFL compared to most seasons, but one of things I counted on were that the Chargers and Raiders would be god awful. Well, Chargers look reenergized and the Raiders gave Colts everything they wanted in a close loss (not that I think that the Colts will be any good either). Only the Jaguars look truly impotent, though Chad Henne could lead them to a couple of wins once they finally throw in the towel on Gabbert. I think injury luck will determine a lot of the NFL happenings this season, even more then normal.
