MARCH 2016 - WRESTLING DISCUSSION

RIPPA

Recommended Posts

TMZ says the $115 mil is just compensatory damages, and that punitive damages could be as high as nearly $350 million.

Hulk Hogan getting $465mil for a website posting his sex tape seems just as disgusting as the idea that Hulk Hogan has a sex tape. Didn't Erin Andrews only get $55mil? What's going on here?

Legally speaking, Hogan probably won't get anything close to even $115 million.

He might get a lot, of course, but not that much.

It all depends on the appeal (which usually tend to lower the amount) and whether or not Gawker can even stay in business.

It's Rip's

So if Terry Bollea doesn't have a ten inch penis, and Hulk Hogan does, how big would Rip's be- and does this make Vince's original plan for See No Evil to be a sequel to No Holds Barred?

I think Terry and Hulk's cancel each other out, so Rip is like Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs.

Didn't the release of the tape show his racist stuff and thus lose him his WWE contract and other endorsement deals? That would certainly be direct damages to him due to the release, probably not near $115 million, but at least the low 7 digits

Stan Hansen says Rip has a teeny wanger. What a jockass.

This lawsuit was in Florida, right? Home of America's most comical bankruptcy laws?

They ain't paying shit.

I thought the whole OJ moves to Florida thing was because in Florida you can declare yourself bankrupt without actually having to prove you haven't got any money... so if you've lost a civil lawsuit to somebody and have to give them millions of dollars, you can just keep your money and not pay them?

Corporate bankruptcy works much differently than personal bankruptcy, so I'm sincerely doubtful that Hogan will see much of the money he's been awarded.

Also, Jeff Hardy has decided to donate his brain to science after he dies.

Kevin Nash, Mick Foley, and RVD are also doing it from what I understand.

"Doctor, we can't tell where the brain damage due to weed ends and the brain damage due to folding chairs begins."

I'm actually very curious to know if RVD and Hardy's substance abuse will impact the results of this testing. Will such things matter?
