NikoBaltimore Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 15 hours ago, Kyuubi said: I would think so, but his booking in his last indy bookings are kind of eyebrow raising. He keeps losing to mediocre indy guys especially during his ROH run when at one point, he was the most over guy on the roster after beating strong. They instead saddled him with a bunch of losses and because of that, they played the "I am sick of losing so I am going to get a hot manager and start cheating" angle and while he had a short feud with Moose, nothing came of it for him in spite of him being an unexpectedly good heel. Then there is the fact that he keeps putting on some quality ass matches and is clearly put over as the most impressive guy in the promotion with "this potential" but he keeps getting Shelton Benjamined for no reason other than they keep putting over guys with tenure or who are archetypical. If the WWE ever gets sick of Apollo Crews, which I hope they don't, they should sign Cedric. He is the best thing not in the WWE not named Ricochet, Ibushi, and maybe Zach Sabre. When you put it that way I can see that. I guess it's something that didn't cross my mind. He had a ton of momentum for some time and I could have seen him go for the title. Hopefully he fares better during and after the Classic.
BEN! Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 They call that a parade? No floats, no balloons, no marching band. Gargano didn't even eat any horse poop. Just guys showing off their new WWE Cruiserweight Classic t-shirts. Teddy Hart was there. They could've given him a cart and let him drive Mr. Money around the ring. 1
Wyld Samurai Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 I'm a little curious how a lot of these indy guys are going to handle the different ring size. From what I've heard through the old WCW guys after the Takeover was thst the hardest part was getting their timing down with the WWF ring.
NikoBaltimore Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 I'd imagine that's why they're at the Performance Center so they can get the timing down. 1
Rev Ray Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 They put in the weigh ins online. If you remember when they were introing everyone on the special, Bryan mentions the guy from Chile cutting 30 pounds in weight that would probably explain the reaction to him coming in at 205. I also love that Tajiri looked he he wasn't sure if he was going to have to fight the scale. 1
RIPPA Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 It's like Ray didn't read any of the rest of the thread 1
Rev Ray Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 21 pages? come on now. I can't seem to find it, but WWE had posted a video of Apollo Crews and Akira Tozawa meeting up again.
RIPPA Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Reminder that tomorrow is the Bracket Reveal special 9 PM EST
JonnyLaw Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 There's a video up for Kendrick also, and it made me realize I want them to acknowledge him as being the longest reigning WWE Championship Scramble Champion. 1
nofuture Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Brackets revealed. I'd guess the Final 4 will be Gran Metalik/Sabre Jr/Ibushi/Rich Swann.
hammerva Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Damn can't even avoid spoilers in here. Oh well I have no idea how much of this is already spoiled but TJP is in a brutal block. I mean he has to go through most of EVOLVE to make it out of his region. Man Cedric Alexander vs Kota Ibushi and Zach Sabre Jr vs Drew Gulak 2nd round match sounds incredible. Hell give me Tajiri vs Metalik any day
RIPPA Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Well that is why I created its own thread That being said - that matches were going to be announced in like 10 minutes And they are going to hype matches so I don't think you can be made about that. It would like getting upset that they promote d RAW matches ahead of time 1
NikoBaltimore Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 As long as I don't know who wins it's all good with me. 1
Matt788 Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) My completely unspoiled guess is that Sabre beats Gargano in the finals. ...and Tozawa and Gallahger steal the show if they face each other in the second round. edit: my final 4 would be Tozawa/Zack and Gargano/Ibushi. With Zack beating Bollywood Boy Harv and then defeating his brother Gurv in a later round in a revenge match. Edited July 8, 2016 by Matt788 more added
Pete Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Gallagher was a hoot and a half in the Bracketology special. "I'm not wearing any trousers." Can't wait to see him work.
Brysynner Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Jack Gallagher looks like Conan O'Brien I'm going with Tozawa/ZSJ and Kendrick/Swann as the Final Four with ZSJ vs. Kendrick as the finals. You'll have the story of The Brian Kendrick needing this as his last shot at glory and surviving all the way to the finals only to lose by tap out.
HumanChessgame Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Any word on which guys are getting full-time contracts vs just being one-offs? I'd heard Taijiri was coming back on a more regular schedule and Ciampa and Gargano are clearly going to be full timers now.
