Matt D Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Wahoo is dead. It's better to be a pimp than to be dead. What about a dead pimp? Moolah's already in the HOF. I'd take the Godfather over Moolah any day. It still gives me the heebie jeebies whenever a curent diva praises her in an interview.
Trocar Slush Weasel Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I'd take the Godfather over Moolah any day. It still gives me the heebie jeebies whenever a curent diva praises her in an interview. That's because A) They have no idea what kind of person she was and 2) Even if they did, they don't want to talk about it while Vince is still around.
Curt McGirt Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I'd hear that Moolah was pretty awful but what did she do specifically? I mean... pimping?!
Trocar Slush Weasel Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I'd hear that Moolah was pretty awful but what did she do specifically? I mean... pimping?! I'm sure that there's more extensive stuff out there but there's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fabulous_Moolah#Training_and_promoting
Jiji Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I was pretty disappointed in The Masked Man's The Squared Circle but his piece on Moolah was a great read. Depressing, but great.
Curt McGirt Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Ugh. Well, THAT certainly wasn't brought up in the Lipstick & Dynamite documentary.
NikoBaltimore Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I heard for the longest time about Moolah being overrated with her long reign and later about how she wasn't a nice person. But reading that, holy fuck what a piece of shit she was. Good riddance to her, honestly.
Josh Mann Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 When violating the Mann Act (the federal human trafficking law, not personal guidelines) is the least scummy thing on the list, there's an issue. 3
Victator Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 I think she is inspiring. She shows young girls, a woman can be scummier than any man. 2
mattdangerously Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 If Hayes isn't wearing a fanny pack with whatever monstrosity of a pimp suit he picks out for this, I'm going to be crushed.
zev Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 The very first pro wrestling show I went to live featured Jimmy Garvin vs Ric Flair. Yes, in my youth, I not only cheered for Garvin, I thought he could win the NWA World Title at a non-televised show. I could say a hundred things about who should or who shouldn't be in the WWE's version of a Hall of Fame, but right now, I'm just legitimately happy that Gorgeous Jimmy and Precious get to dress up and have their night in the spotlight.
odessasteps Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Since kevin ve said he was going to be there, i presume he inducts them.
Pete Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 There always seems to be backlash against Jimmy going in with them. He was "the secret Freebird" for years and years... if Hayes says he counts as a 'Bird, he counts. 4
odessasteps Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Id rather put in garvin as the scret freebird than as the glam freebird.
Raziel Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Garvin was in Badstreet USA, and Hayes and Gordy say he was a full Freebird, he's a full Freebird. 2
ChrisM Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Roberts and Garvin really didn't fit in with the Freebirds.
AxB Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 They could have the New Day induct the Freebirds. They are the modern version (Xavier = Hayes, Kofi = Roberts, E = Gordy).
Nice Guy Eddie Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 As long as someone sews Michael Hayes' mouth shut. 1
Josh Mann Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Over/under on "Awwwwwww Machul..." during the speech: 4.5
