supremebve Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 The Washington Post having a debate on whether you'd rather have Cousins or Rodgers for the next five years is peak DC. Kirk Cousins had a fine season, but if I hear one of these assholes trying to convince me he's Joe Montana again...I don't know...I just don't know.
Dolfan in NYC Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Chris Grier is officially the Dolphins new GM. Rumors are this could spell the end of Dawn Aponte in Miami.
Josh Mann Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 It's fine having Kirk Cousins until you have to pay him like a starting QB. Can we all see what's going to happen 365 days from now or just me? I mean, he aight but I would let someone else pay 10m a year for him. 1
RIPPA Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 Well Joe Theismann wants to give him $100 million Of course - Jason LaCanfora is still insisting on his story that the Skins want RG3 as their backup QB next year
Pete Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Coughlin is gone from Big Blue. They gave him the dignity of stepping down.
RIPPA Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 Coughlin is gone from Big Blue. They gave him the dignity of stepping down. Welcome to last page Pete 1
Vincey Greene Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Well Joe Theismann wants to give him $100 million Of course - Jason LaCanfora is still insisting on his story that the Skins want RG3 as their backup QB next year There are other jobs out there. I don't think it's a sure thing he re-signs. Would you rather be a part of that shitshow, or throw to DeAndre Hopkins for a few years?

Technically he might not have a say in the matter The Skins could excerise his option and keep him for one more year. Yes - it is a $16.5 million option but this is Dan Snyder's favorite player.
Brian Fowler Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I figured the slurs tag Cousins, give him one big payday and another prove it year.

Paying Kirk Cousins $16.5 against his will is the most Redskinsy thing of all time, so yeah that sounds about right.
RIPPA Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 Yeah - Cousins would be paid around $19 million against his will if they franchise him
pipGofern Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 We definitely learned this year that the value of a capable backup is immense but paying one $16 million is just plain insane, even for Dan Snyder.
Kuetsar Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 The Washington Post having a debate on whether you'd rather have Cousins or Rodgers for the next five years is peak DC. Shouldn't that be in the stupidity thread?
hammerva Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Dolphins are interviewing Mike Shannan............ I am not sure if this is the weirdest coaching story today or that the Niners are thinking of talking to Chip Kelly. I mean why would you do that unless you are desperate to make Kaep your starting QB
The Nature Boy Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I just some local Boston media outlet speculate that Chip Kelly could be Pats OC if Josh McDaniels leaves.
Brian Fowler Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Kelly working with a well built roster under a powerful and skilled GM is a defensible idea, his offense was great until he traded everyone aw.... Oh, the Niners? Never mind.
gatling Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Press conference in about half an hour to announce Chuck Pagano contract extension with the Colts
Craig H Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 FUCK Grigson is back too. Good on the Colts for seeing what a wasteland it is trying to find a new coach.
Vincey Greene Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Pagano is the right move. Grigson is definitely not. Sorry BLR. Chip as the Pats OC is scary.
Gonzo Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 The San Diego Chargers have officially filed for relocation to Los Angeles. EDIT: And by "The San Diego Chargers," what I apparently mean is "The San Diego Chargers, The St. Louis Rams, and The Oakland Raiders." It's a three-way dance!
The Nature Boy Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 If the Rams move, do we get another expansion team? St. Louis is a pretty major market to leave without a football team.
Burgundy LaRue Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I don't see how the Colts situation is going to work. By all accounts, Grigson undermines Pagano's authority with the team and the two barely speak to each other. I may need to put in applications to offer my fan services to another team.
