The Man Known as Dan Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Was working on a check in on my character then my cat deleted it all. Level 32, Almost out of my "main perks", what with Lockpick and Hacker 4 being useless. Gun Nut and Science at 3, need to get to 4. Haven't boosted my SPECIAL yet, though will in order to complete my "Sneak Attack Critical" Build with Ninja. I'm starting to wonder who I should side with, and I'm leading toward "Fuck the Brotherhood and Fuck the Institute"
Red is Dead Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Have gone through another quest or two in the main side. Made it to amari's and ran through the memories and now going along the minutemen questline, liberating outposts...if i'm allowed to mix my games.
The Man Known as Dan Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 So I just cleared out Libertalia, no quest or anything, just wandering. It went from basic to "Oh, thats fucked up" really fast with just one terminal.
BrianS81177 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 God damn finding the railroad is a lot of work
The Man Known as Dan Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 God damn finding the railroad is a lot of work Well they are supposed to be secretive you know...
BrianS81177 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 If anyone else gets tired of the long ass quest to find the railroad, here's a spoiler how to do so quickly: Just find the location "Old North Church" and solve the wall puzzle inside to find the railroad
RUkered Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I just got this, made it to Concord, am level 2, scrapped a bunch of shit, and get continuously confused about how to use Pip Boy. Ran into some raiders and got dead. I'm gonna have to read up to figure out what to do. Everything seems confusing. Although, even if I never play another second, I'm glad I got it because it gave me my new favorite thing to do in real life. It cracked me up when I saw that it says ACTIVATE on mostly everything. I've been running around my house all night yelling Toilet...ACTIVATE! Potato chips...ACTIVATE! Paper towel...ACTIVATE! 3
SirSmUgly Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 At level thirteen. I still haven't stepped into Boston. There's a legendary Raider near the source of an emergency beacon that enjoys trying to kill me in the face. Preston is USELESS. Went to the fort on the other side of the map, but there are a ton of synths, so I need backup or my power suit or both. Maybe I'll just run some Brotherhood missions instead.
Robert C Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I'm up to about level 19 or so. I've finally reached the point where I'm dangerous to stuff like deathclaws and super mutants, even though I've spent most of my perks on non-combat related stuff. My house in Sanctuary is now 4 stories, with a big overhang on the roof for additional defenses. Got the fourth level ringed with spotlights and laser turrets. Roof is gonna have missile turrets when I get my science high enough. Got the bar, pool table, disco ball and strobe lights installed last night, so it's coming along nicely. Had one of those Fallout moments that I love last night. Wandered into some little lakeside town in the southwest corner, and it turned into a warzone with feral ghouls, super mutants, raiders, and a deathclaw fighting it out. I finished off the survivors, including the deathclaw, when I got one of those warnings about some legendary super mutant. Never saw the damn thing, right about then the entire world blew up. Survived it somehow, so I'm not really sure what happened.
The Man Known as Dan Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Just hit Level 39 a minute ago. Gives me Gun Nut 4. Getting Armorer 4 at 40, and Science! at 41, which is basically the Holy Trinity to me. Also raised my Agility up to the point that I have the 1st rank of Ninja, which combined with Sneak 4, Rifleman 4, and Mister Sandman 3 has turned me into a death machine. Plans for the next few levels is as follows 40: Armorer 4 (Ability to put a Stealth Boy into Power Armor, going invisible whenever I sneak in it. Fuck to the Yes) 41: Science 4 (Full range of Science upgrades in workshop, also fuck yes 42: Ninja 2 (Ranged Sneak Attacks do 3x normal damage) 43:Ninja 3 (Ranged Sneak Attacks do 3.5 normal damage. Also, Melee sneak attacks do 10x normal damage if I feel the need) 44: Sneak 5 (Engaging Stealth causes distant enemies to lose you) 45: *shrug* 46: Marksman 5 After that point? I have no damned idea what direction I'm going. Maybe Gunslinger cause this game throws some awesome Pistols at you, maybe to Strong back, maybe work on Perception etc. I love the leveling up in this game. Also, wanna know something surprising? I fucking love the Musket in this game. 1
SirSmUgly Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I just beat my first Legendary enemy - irradiated Legendary feral ghoul. It dropped some awesome swag. It was a fun little boss fight. I love this game. EDIT: Right after that, I stumbled onto a Legendary feral ghoul in the same location and got more cool shit. I might finally feel a bit powered up now.
JustJay Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Getting this game for my birthday soon. Sounds tons of fun so far and from some of the videos and twitch watching, it looks like this game will consume me. What difficulties do you all play on? I have read that the higher the difficulty the better loot that you get or that there is a higher chance to spawn legendary enemies that in turn drop awesome loot.
BrianS81177 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 So I walked up to some fish processing plant when all of a sudden I have about 6 feral ghouls all coming after me. Then a mutant hound shows up. Then I hear the "beep beep beep" that signifies the Super Mutant Suiciders. I turn and run, the Suicider runs into the middle of all the ghouls and blows them, himself and the mutant hound all to bits. I love this game.
The Man Known as Dan Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 I just made a Dress and Tuxedo I own have 110 damage and energy resistance. If I get to Gun Fu and Gunslinger 10, I'm pretty sure I'll feel like James Bond.

Even at level 30, I can't just run around too much. I have to charge and withdraw against bigger groups. Raiders and ghouls are just about the only enemies I can take on in numbers without strategy. Legendary enemies make for epic battles. 1
Tromatagon Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Just equip something else on her and you can have it
cwoy2j Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Dammit I missed the $100 PS3 trade-in deal at Gamestop. Probably just going to pull the trigger and upgrade to a PS4 anyway so I can get in on Fallout 4.
RIPPA Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 Speaking of clothing/armor Definitely accidentally was wearing just some armor but no clothes. Didn't realize it until I hit the third person view and saw that I had a helmet on and my bra and panties. I am not quite sure what I put on that overrided my vault suit but yeah... that was awkward My lady must have been some weird ass looks meandering around Sanctuary. 1
RIPPA Posted November 23, 2015 Author Posted November 23, 2015 There is so random toy monkey in a fucking park with glowing eyes and it is by far the scariest fucking thing in this game so far
Red is Dead Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 ...thats an alert to a laser trap isnt it?
glfpunk Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 There is so random toy monkey in a fucking park with glowing eyes and it is by far the scariest fucking thing in this game so far You come across them pretty often in buildings that you clear out. They're annoying so I shoot them in the face.
RIPPA Posted November 23, 2015 Author Posted November 23, 2015 As I said - I found that in a random national park right after coming across a bear that made me poo myself
BrianS81177 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Boy if you guys haven't been to the Museum of Witchcraft yet, just wait til you go. Have a change of pants handy. 2
