RIPPA Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 It's my favorite wrestler's birthday http://youtu.be/nbRga0bw0Ww http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2h1286_charlotte-vs-sasha-banks-vs-bayley-vs-becky-lynch_sport
Patrick B. Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I haven't seen a lot of her pre-NXT work, I'll need to remind myself to watch some of these. Already got a huge backlog of stuff to watch...
RIPPA Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 Matt is going to be so happy that I post this :-P 3
RIPPA Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 Well - I just found this. I'm gonna need a moment
GojiColin Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Bayley is the best thing to happen to the NXT women's division. She is so good at her character that whenever they need someone to be evil they just have her harm Bayley (Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Emma) and then when they want someone to be good they just have her help Becky (Charlotte); she just connects with the crowd that much. And it doesn't hurt that she's really good in the ring too. I can only imagine how the NXT audience is going to lose their minds when Bayley finally does win the title.
Pete Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Well - I just found this. I'm gonna need a moment Vickie Guerrero, wrestling promoter.
Hail Sabin Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Love me some Bayley and her feud with Evil Emma along with Sasha Banks being the champion has gotten me to watch catch up on my NXT viewing. If I could find it easily I would post the Sting Bayley promo from this board after Becky turned on her.

I've said it before- if/when Bayley goes up north, she should have a gimmick where she's so nice that she makes everyone around her nicer.

pipGofern Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Bayley isn't my favorite wrestler but she goes with Sasha, KO, and Sami as far as most fascinating personas go. I've been to three NXT house shows and in every case her popularity with little kids - specifically little girls who, prior to NXT, I could count one one hand how many I recall seeing at WWE events - is absolutely amazing. I remember going to Disney with my goddaughters when they where small and the way they reacted to meeting Belle/Ariel is exactly how I see these girls react when Bayley comes out and hugs them. It's amazing. I really hope WWE doesn't fuck her up by "tweaking" anything when they eventually bring her up. I'm insanely interested to see how she'll play to the mainstream audience. I've never seen a Diva appeal to her demo before so it should be quit the experiment. From what I understand from reading Meltzer it's happened in Japan on a pretty huge level so who knows if it can be replicated here. To go with the "Doctor of Hugganomic" comment - I wonder if they can create a female John Cena.

If they left her character as she is, Bayley as the lamb among the wolves that make up the Divas division could be great. She could befriend people with the power of hug-plexes and have Steph be sort of the Anti-Bayley.
odessasteps Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I fear for the board the day Steph punks out Bayley.
Hail Sabin Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I fear for Bayley when she's gets called up to the main roster because they will probably drop the ball with her big time.

If they bring back Kharma, she gets transformed into her Hustle Margret gimmick when teamed with Bayley 1
cool arrow Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Erica and Margaret = best gimmick ever. That is all. 1
Brysynner Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 I can only imagine how the NXT audience is going to lose their minds when Bayley finally does win the title. I think Bayley while being a modern day Sting she's also a modern day Tommy Dreamer in that she's never going to get the NXT Women's title
Greggulator Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Bayley's wonderful. She really stands out among the Four Horsewomen since she wrestles-as-character so well, as opposed to being a great wrestler first. Sasha does, too, but I think Bayley does it better by a hair. They're both better than Charlotte and Becky in those departments, too.But Bayley can really go in any spot on the card and be really over. Need an underdog title contender? There she is. Need a friend to betray her? Easy enough, since she's a sweet person and it's easy to see why someone would mark her to get ahead. She can also lose and not be any less over since she plays the character so well. That's super important because, yeah, you have to lose at some point, especially on the main roster after the initial push happens and she runs into a Bella or Paige or someone they've established. She doesn't need a mega-push to work.
Greggulator Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Also, the only three NXT divas that got called up are Summer Rae, Paige and Emma. Summer Rae has been fine. She's not a great worker but good at what she can do. She was fine as Fandango's valet and decent enough when she gets thrown out every so often.Paige has been fine. Her feud/partnership with AJ was really good stuff. They didn't use Emma too differently on the main roster than she was in NXT. She was the same "lovable goofball" as they always were. Her match with Santino against Summer Rae and Fandango in NXT was one of the all-time best comedy matches. It's really easy to see why they went that route with her on her call-up. The Elaine From Seinfeld dance didn't click. It happens.Bailey might not work on the main roster. I really hope it does because the character is wonderful and she's so good at it. But the main roster audience has way more neck beard creeps than NXT. Hell, even the NXT live shows have supposedly had morons chanting degrading things.
mattdangerously Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 It's not the neckbeards that Bayley has to worry about, it's Vince and Kevin Dunn's psychological issues with women.
