odessasteps Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I wonder if there would be a blowback if the title sponsor was a foreign company like Emirates or Qatar Airways? I could see the UKIP types getting angry anout it.
Death From Above Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 UKIP would get angry if a brown person sneezed. I find it kind of odd they wouldn't have a sponsor but then again maybe their TV deals are now so big they honestly don't need one.
Jiji Posted June 5, 2015 Author Posted June 5, 2015 Which is right and the reason so many supporters are pissed most (if not all?) clubs are raising their ticket prices with the upcoming TV right deal just about to set in. English matchgoing fans really need to get on the same page and say enough is enough.
Death From Above Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I'm still reeling from a post a couple years ago about Arsenal's special $20 hot dog. #LineInTheSand
odessasteps Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Saw this posted on FB today: Jose as Bobby Robson's translator at Barca. http://youtu.be/lMMbS7z-EcM
Dewar Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 A 20 dollar hot dog makes my 9 dollar MTS Centre beers seem downright affordable.
Pete Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Elche has just been relegated from La Liga for financial difficulties despite finishing 13th.

They are already going that way with The Emirates FA Cup http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9869723/the-fa-cup-is-to-become-the-emirates-fa-cup-from-next-season
Mr Harms Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Well if we're gonna keep winning it every year it may as well have our sponsor on it. 1
Death From Above Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 It's just a friendly and all but hey good on the USA for beating Netherlands. That's something.
Guest Edwin Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I believe that we will win! I believe that we will win! I believe that we will win!
Pete Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 With over 30,000 tickets already sold, NYCFC is opening up the rest of Yankee Stadium for the Red Bulls' June 28 visit. Hot damn.
Guest Edwin Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Spanish and English media is pushing Benzema to Man United rumors as his agent was seen speaking to United reps. in England and with Rafa's rumored new 4-2-3-1 rotation where Cristiano's going to be used as the primary starting striking role which will see Benzema used as a squad rotation player.
Jiji Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 I'm a good week late but I'm catching an encore presentation of Braga/Sporting in the Portuguese Cup final and this is crazy. Red card early for Sporting, they go down by 2 by HT and in general looked lethargic. They pulled within 1 at the 84th minute and then scored in the 3rd minute of injury time to level. 1
Death From Above Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I'm watching it too because the best way to prepare for a day of watching sports is watching sports. 1
Death From Above Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 The best team won. Good final though, a bit of everything. 1
Raziel Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 That moment you realize that Luis Suarez just won a Treble.
Guest Edwin Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Surprised the CL finals hasn't gotten more attention on here. Expected result, great game. Neymar's game closing goal was amazing. Orlando City beat Chicago Fire on the road 3-2. OC are starting to be more confident on the pitch which is great. There's still a lot to work on as they're really struggling on both ends despite the win. OC got lucky as they got 2 OG's from the Fire including a game winning OG very late in the game from a Higuita pass to the center of the box. Larin came in as a sub. for Pedro Ribeiro and also scored a great goal after the 80th minute.
Guest Edwin Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Barça and İlkay Gündoğan from Borussia Dortmund seem like a donde deal. Could be Barça second transfer this transfer window as Aleix Vidal from Sevilla seems like a donde deal. If true, great signings.

Could be Barça second transfer this transfer window as Aleix Vidal from Sevilla seems like a donde deal. If true, great signings. Maybe they´ll do some sort of workaround like transfering players to another club or something comparable? The European Red Bull squads did something comparable at one point. From what I´ve read regarding Vidal: Apparently the players can´t play for Barca until January 2016, but they can be transferred to the club. Having a long time of training with the squad might be a good thing in Gündogan´s case, since he just got thrown out there in the beginning of last season after being out for almost one year. Would be an opportunity for him to get into top shape like he was before the injury. I´m amazed that 2015´s Gündogan is even on Barca´s wishing list, but it would be cool to have German player at Barca who is not a GK.
