Chaos Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Because I am a Bill Simmons-esque Homer, and this was too awesome not to share. Jim Ross Calls the Kick Six Play on Finebaum!
Chaos Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 The Duke Williams debacle this off season has instantly shifted me from incredibly optimistic about this season to knowing that we will be finding a way to go 8-4 and have people question whether Malzahn was the right hire.
Dolfan in NYC Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Cordell Broadus has quit the football team at UCLA per Jim Mora.

Tabe Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 The NLRB ruled that Northwestern's players cannot unionize. The NLRB, in their ruling, stated they do not have the jurisdiction to allow the unionization. This is somewhat of a surprise ruling as a year ago, regional directors for the NLRB were essentially saying that unionization would be OK. This has naturally led to a bajillion ignorant comments and responses that: A) Think every NCAA athlete is playing football; B) Think every NCAA athlete is actually ON scholarship; C) Doesn't recognize the main issue was players wanting insurance coverage and protection after injury.
Pete Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 People on the Internet jumping to conclusions? Aww, honey hush.

supremebve Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 You should always be skeptical when a college football laughingstock gets good all of a sudden. The great college football programs seem to have been great forever, and the bad one seem to stay bad forever. Sometimes they're legitimate reasons, Oregon with Nike, the Florida population boom, but college football programs don't just get good for no reason.

Sometimes they're legitimate reasons, Oregon with Nike, the Florida population boom, but college football programs don't just get good for no reason. To be fair, the good schools have their fair share of skeletons too, they just tend to be a LOT better at burying them. With assistance from alumni in the DA's, Mayor, or Governor's office. . . .
