I think i'll always remember first as Cubbie's manager when I was younger. RIP.

On a happier note...what about those Blue Jays??

What I didn't know until tonight was that Zimmer was technically the last member of the Brooklyn Dodgers still in uniform

Red Sox fans might have a little hate in his heart because of the 1978 season....

Nah, everyone loved Zimmer. Colleagues who dealt with him, one of which is a Sox diehard with a tattoo of the team's logo, adored him

Speaking of Zimmer and Brooklyn....

Anyone know much about Eddie Butler (AA pitcher the Rockies are calling up)? Is he a top tier prospect?

He was a top 20 prospect in baseball coming into the year. Nuff said.

THANKS PEDRO

Photographic proof he wasn't always 90 years old!  I swear, Zim has always seemed like he was ancient since the first time I remember seeing him in the late 70s.

Helluva baseball man, that's for sure.

Am I the only one watching the MLB Draft?

Random baseball question cause I know so little. could a team cash in a 'player to be named later' choose during the draft?

It doesn't work that way. PTBNLs are decided at a set date from a list of players exchanged at the time of the trade. Also, draft choices cannot be traded until a year after they've been signed.

Ok thanks

isn't that just what the curse wants you to think?

Can I personally hire Rob Ford to wear the jersey of whoever the Sox happen to be playing at a given time?

I dunno, man. That's a LOT of crack to buy...

According to Jon Heyman, Kendrys Morales has agreed to terms with the Twins.

Yeah. . .didn't see THAT coming. But I like it.

All that means is that one of Mauer, Suzuki, Pinto, or Morales is going to be out of the lineup every day with the Twins on the hook for a prorated part of $12 million. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

The San Diego Padres drafted Johnny Manziel because apparently after the 830th pick it just doesn't matter anymore"?

5 in a row motherfuckers!

5 in a row motherfuckers!

You had to fucking say something.

Like crashing and burning isn't an inevitability anyway.

You mean nobody bought Boras' "He can play 1B every day" bullshit?

I'm flabbergasted.

There has been some crazy fucking baseball tonight, that's for sure.

Draft needs more rounds IMO.
