Death From Above Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 That picture has the greatest cross section of crowd reaction shots possible.
Johnny Sorrow Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 A young dapper Bela Lugosi Karloff? Fuck you! 1
MADCAP Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Obviously, this man wouldn't fully commit to his Blue Falcon costume at the NY Comi-con
Burgundy LaRue Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Did he lose a bet with the rest of the deacon board at his local AME/CME/COGIC church?
Swift Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 And more here - http://gizmodo.com/any-animal-that-touches-this-lethal-lake-turns-to-stone-1436606506 There's a deceptively still body of water in Tanzania with a deadly secret—it turns any animal it touches to stone. The rare phenomenon is caused by the chemical makeup of the lake, but the petrified creatures it leaves behind are straight out of a horror film. Photographed by Nick Brandt in his new book, Across the Ravaged Land, petrified creatures pepper the area around the lake due to its constant pH of 9 to 10.5—an extremely basic alkalinity that preserves these creatures for eternity. 3
Burgundy LaRue Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 That's interesting. I wonder what attracts the animals to such a salty lake.
Death From Above Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Not that I want this to take a violent turn, but this is a once in a lifetime shot for some nature photographer: 3
Rev Ray Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 That's interesting. I wonder what attracts the animals to such a salty lake. That's some Dungeons and Dragons shit right there... I'm guessing some of the birds might be migrating and are not familiar with it.
cool arrow Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 A companion of sorts to one of my previous pics: 1
Death From Above Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 The Moses Bridge, The Netherlands. 1
Rev Ray Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 The Moses Bridge, The Netherlands. Does the tram stall there so Jaws can jump out at you? 2
Death From Above Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 https://twitter.com/Globe_Pics/status/392380135640674304/photo/1/large Did this actually happen? Fuck I'd be scared to death up there. Like hell I'm going near the edge. 1
Burgundy LaRue Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Yeah, that match did happen. They converted a helipad for some event several years ago. Freaky-deaky stuff. What happens if a ball falls off the edge?
cool arrow Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 To quote the person who Tweeted this pic: "This is a ship-shipping ship, shipping shipping ships." 1
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I almost don't believe it's real, surely the damage done to the boats in the process of loading them up would be ridiculous?
Tabe Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Yeah, that match did happen. They converted a helipad for some event several years ago. Freaky-deaky stuff. What happens if a ball falls off the edge? It wasn't a match and both guys were very obviously going half-speed and nervous about moving around. There's a net surrounding the helipad but....not still not much room for error.
Tabe Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I almost don't believe it's real, surely the damage done to the boats in the process of loading them up would be ridiculous? Another angle, same thing:
Death From Above Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 London, 1900. Some man with a bizarre tiny shoe shop underneath a storefront. No doubt that space is worth $1.6 million today. 1
cool arrow Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 I'd never seen this ad for Heineken before, but it seems appropriate for this time of year.
driver Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I almost don't believe it's real, surely the damage done to the boats in the process of loading them up would be ridiculous? Another angle, same thing: Cue the Xzibit...Yo, Dawg, I heard you like boats, so I put boats on your boats on your boats.
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 First thing I did when I saw that picture.
