Big Fresh
I just got this computer in today: neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-83-227-537&isfeedbacktab=true&page=3#scrollFullInfo And it's shutting itself off about every ten minutes. The only modifications I made were replacing the power supply and adding my old hard drive to the new machine. Both of which SEEM to be working while the computer is on. But I don't know what could be causing it to turn off at random times. Any ideas? I'm a PC Hardware novice, by the way. So please use baby language that I can understand. Thanks guys! Lamp, broken circa 1988
You would need to have some nasty, nasty shit for this to be the hard drive's fault. Why did you replace the power supply from the default?
Big Fresh
Because it was only 300 watts. I think I figured out my problem though and I feel like a dumbass. I had a cable in the way that was stopping the fan on the motherboard from spinning. It seems like it's over now. Fingers crossed. Yes, I am dumb.
