throughsilver
Ah, Mis Teeq! I loved their pop-garage songs.
Lawful Metal
I fucking love this. This is a more weezer-ish song than every other weezer album besides the first two. This needs more love than 17 views on youtube.
Captain Kronos
I can't believe how often I have listened to BANGERZ since it came out. I can't really explain it because it's not a great record or anything (RED, for instance, is a superior pop album). I hated "We Can't Stop" when I first heard it. Then I caught one of those DOO-WOP versions on youtube, and I came to really dig the song. Here's some other recent-ish stuff I am digging:

Captain Kronos
Oh man, had no idea Kylie had a new one...Excited! Her newest video from the album just came out this week. I don't care for the song as much as "Into the Blue", but the video makes me strongly reconsider the value of the Bosu Ball.
Matt D
I forced this on Fowler in my neverending quest to give him every terrible beatles cover ever. I swear it sounds like Express Yourself in the verse which is downright insane.
Captain Kronos
Wow, it really does sound a bit like Madge. 1990? Makes sense, as the Like a Prayer album would have been massive. Good find. But even as a Kylie fan, I had to turn this one off half way.
DreamBroken
Really liked that Into the Blue by Kylie Love this and all four of the songs from Artpop that it includes
Captain Kronos
I haven't listened to ARTPOP that much since I bought it. I liked it, but it didn't keep me very engaged. I should go back and revisit. Re Kylie: here's one of my fave videos and tunes from her.
StretchMediatedHypertrophy
Oh man, had no idea Kylie had a new one...Excited! Her newest video from the album just came out this week. I don't care for the song as much as "Into the Blue", but the video makes me strongly reconsider the value of the Bosu Ball. 1. BOSU balls are the hemispheres on platforms 2. When I watched that video, I imagined Miley Cyrus shaking her head in disgust. It pains me to be *that* guy, but Christ m'lady - 25 or 45, that's just tacky. SorceressKnight
Giving a quick update for the people who subscribed to the DVDVR Spotify playlist for the thread (either this one or older) that I created: With the new Spotify update allowing it to be a collaborative playlist, I changed it so anyone who subscribes can add to it. For it... DVDVR Poptimism

Lamp, broken circa 1988
I'm putting this here because it's everything about british pop/rock happening at the same time and somehow it's still great
