RIPPA
As far as I can tell WON/Figure 4, PWI and Torch are the Big 3 in terms of places you can get news or pay for INSIDER~! stuff. Am I forgetting anything major?
rovert
Hyped that we can finally talk about The Torch, brother. Also does any find that there's too much MMA in the Observer?
RIPPA
Speaking of the Torch - I used them last night to look at the TNA Lockdown results. (And I only use the Torch on my IPad because it is easier to block the zillion pop-ups) Did Dave stick the PPV results behind the pay window or did he not even bother covering it? They were there last night. I used to subscribe to the Observer, but eventually cancelled because of the MMA coverage. How much coverage does the Torch give MMA these days? Yeah - last night I was checking via my iPad and didn't see it. But when I used the WON app this morning (and again - why I have that app is beyond me) I saw the link
Dolfan in NYC
LETHAL LOCKDOWN: MVP & WOLVES & WILLOW (Jeff Hardy under a mask) vs. BRO MANS & BOBBY ROODE & AUSTIN ARIES The finish saw Dixie's surprise from New York give Bobby Roode a rock bottom and MVP pinned Roode with a Yakuza kick. Entrances were MVP vs. Aries first, then Robbie E, Eddie Edwards, Jessie Godderz, Davey Richards, Bobby Roode and finally Willow. Willow came off the top of the cage onto everyone. Then Dixie announced Bully Ray was her secret weapon as ref. Bully wasn't a heel ref. A lot of weapon usage such as garbage can lid. Look, this is TNA and everything.... but this recap, none of this makes any sense. #thanksDave
odessasteps
I was surprised at the lateness of the radio show this morning. It was not there when i left for work at around 0600 but was there at 0630. And just one show after they discussed recording shows at 3:00 in the morning. Chaos
Why are Dirt Sheets talking about Summerslam plans at this point? When is the last time the WWE had a real idea of what they were doing for a major PPV five months in advance that was not WrestleMania? Let's get through Mania and then we can start talking about Summer angles.
Spontaneous
I don't know, they do have a pretty easy set up for SummerSlam with the way the build to Mania has gone. Wouldn't require much thought on their part to plan vaguely.

WWE using quotes from that Bill Simmons piece on Grantland must have been like a blade through young Bix's heart. Actually I was laughing because they mentioned Simmons and ignored Shoemaker. Brian Fowler
Hey, it's coverage for the Network in a major media outlet, of course the WWE pimped it. Why would they give a fuck if Commerce Oklahoma is in France in Shoemaker's eyes?

In the same way that TNA tries to promote themselves as wrestling compared to WWE's entertainment we need a rival hardcore group to start promoting specifically to two year olds. SABU vs. Necro in a binky of blood match will sell tickets.

E.J.
Financial blog Betaville was the first source to report on the story: “Good sources tell me cable group AMC Networks has been sniffing around World Wrestling Entertainment Inc, the US-listed company behind those ridiculous wrestling programmes, such as WWF, Raw and Smackdown. AMC Networks has held at least one exploratory conversation with WWE – which saw its shares rise by about 30pc during last week – about some kind M&A transaction in recent months, according to “people familiar with the matter”. However, the talks are understood to have not gone anywhere. Another source said bankers from UBS have been advising AMC Networks, owner of Sundance TV, on a potential deal and financing options. This well-placed source said any transaction may value WWE at between $2.6 and $2.8bn.” Sescoops I don't know how much bullshit this is or not, figured it belonged here.
