Bryan had more opportunities than Cesaro, but fewer matches that stand out to me, and that's with him having the great benefit of working his mark briscoe tribute act hot tag in all those shield six mans.

Did Miz get out of the 1st round that year he was champ?

Miz actually made the final 8 in 2011 (during his title reign) with victories over Christopher Daniels, James Storm, and Cody Rhodes. The following year in 2012 he was bounced in round 1 by Ultra Mantis Black.

Mantis had a stretch of pretty good matches in 2012 in the 12 Large Summit, including a bad ass match with Fire Ant in Chicago which I was there live for.

I looked at the leaderboard this morning.  Now I'm sad; I asked my neighbor to hold my guns until at least May.

Notes from the prediction leaderboard.

-Ryan with a freaking 31 out of 32 in the first round, but this will continue to be a "guy who wins the first round ends up in the middle of the pack" year: His one miss was in the first round was picking Park to beat Blue Panther.... and then had Park going all the way to the elite 8. He is also going to lose his second elite 8 guy in Okada today.

-Can we have a call for weirdest final four pick? Cause Nate F had Big E escaping the top block, beating Harper, Zayn, and Goldust. He also had Spud in the sweet 16. Also, all WWE/TNA guys in the sweet 16. Silly Nate F.

-Then again, at least he didn't lose a final four guy in round 1. Who the hell picked Aries to go to the final four!?

Shocked to see Punk go out in the first round. Haven't been a huge Punk guy in awhile but enjoyed his 2013 more than his 2012, where it was a far cry trying to convince people last year that Bobby Roode had a better year.

It actively bugs me that I can't tell the difference between DreamBroken and LooseCannon when they have such wildly divergent positions and attitudes.

Meltzer has to be drowning in tears if he knew Ambrose beat Okada. And Cenahashi has quite the little battle with the indistinguishable J. Uso at the moment.

Seems like NJPW guys are the overrated Big East/ACC teams like Pitt, Georgetown, NC State that make the NCAA tournament and struggle mightily.

NJPW is that mid-major who goes 29-5 and wins their conference tourney but nobody believes in their strength of schedule so they wind up a 4 seed in a bracket where overrated Duke gets to play in fucking Charlotte. Or something.
