FSW and fellow Liv'pool supporters, what do you think of Aspas? If given more match time, will he come good? It'd be hard for him to get much worse than he's played so far, but playing every 6th or 7th game isn't a recipe for success. If we're wanting to challenge, can we be patient for him to settle? With the return of Sturridge and perhaps a signing such as Salah, I doubt he's given many more opportunities.

Adam, does Hughes play behind the striker or deeper in midfield?

We lost of course. We beat Wigan 3-1 away last month and they beat us at our place, confirming once and for all the Championship is the most random league in world football. Anybody could literally beat anybody on any game day.

Hughes has been playing in front of the midfield three but not quite off the striker. He's kinda like Messi, in the way that he's not like Messi at all, apart from the place they play on the pitch.

I hope we can bounce back, we have Chelsea in the FA Cup on Sunday (live on BT Sport) and i'm really fearful that a heavy defeat against a second string Chelsea line up (you know, the ones who aren't in the first team right now, Mata, Torres and Ba for example) following this first defeat in 10 games could really trainwreck our whole season.

Or we could beat them and then get back to winning again.

We beat Man United in the Carling Cup semi final first leg about five years ago when we weren't doing so well, before they beat us in the second leg.

Don't worry, he'll get to manage England after his six years in Trafford.

Edit: Joe Cole has been spotted in the Babel Chopper near Greater Manchester, btw.

Bayern with a huge move getting Robert Lewandowski to sign what appears to be a 5-year-deal. Really bad for Dortmund. Hopefully they will be able to find a good replacement. The guys they have on their roster aren´t even close to being your striker of choice in any Bundesliga squad, let alone close to Lewandowski´s level. Even if he would just be sitting on the Bayern-bench, him being gone would just serve really well weakening the Dortmund side over the next few years.

That was depressing. We managed to contain Chelsea for 66 minutes, but the truth is, if they turn up with Cole, Eto'o, Mikel, Oscar.. and then bring on Torres and Hazard, it is what it is.

Still, 2-0, not the end of the world. And if we are going to mount a serious challenge for promotion this season, then we'll do well not having this competition as well #positivity

Also, Eusebio was truly a wonder. What a combination of pace and skill. 473 goals in 440 competitive matches for Benfica, 9 goals at the '66 World Cup. Like, damn.

I was amazed at their fans leaving in DROVES as soon as Bony scored. Man, show some fucking faith in your club's ability to come back... they've only been doing it for decades.

Fans are losing faith.  Dropping games at home we would've been coasting through last year is killing us.

Moyes was always in a shit position taking over the club, but this is the same damn squad as last year, just change Scholes out for Fellani, and its struggling.  Its some combination of the players not having faith in Moyes/not wanting to play for him and Moyes failing to motavate the players to play.

This squad would not be pulling this shit with SAF on the Touchline, period.
