Hook looked hilarious mean-mugging thru the whole promo.

In the two appearances since Joe returned, he has clearly slighted Hook to intentionally undercut his authority. The first vignette, Hook was clearly telling Bowens to step off, but Joe flipped it and allowed Bowens in.  In this promo, Joe heaped praise on Shinata and Bowens, and then just said Hook had a title match on Collision, and nothing more.

Could Joe be setting Hook up to take a beating from Ospreay?

In kayfabe, Joe left Hook in charge and they not only didn’t expand, they also lost a member, and didn’t win titles or anything.  Joe needs to be like “hey Hook WTF?”

Also, we never saw Bowens filming their exploits as Hook instructed.

Boy, I sure do like the Rascalz. Wish they'd get more wins.

I was going to say the exact thing about Dorada, but somehow it feels cheap. I did enjoy that match with Perry though.

Nightingale/Jay was also fun.

I'd be working carefully right now if I were Ace Austin, as the iron rule that two members of the BBG must be injured at all times hasn't been repealed as far as I know.

I am so glad to see Knight getting a singles push

The only word I caught of Shida's last Japanese insult to Harley and Mina was "breasts"

Maybe it's just me overreacting becaise I've spent 40+ years with strangers wanting to pray for my eyes, but Tony's talk about Rebel bothered me. "Praying for you to pull thru" feels like a weird weird thing to say about someone who just publicly announced she's dying. (Again, totally possible this just triggered me and I'm being weird about something she was happy to hear)

Apparently Schiavone is very close with Rebel from their time backstage and odds are he was just trying to think of something hopeful to say. It didn't sit well with me when I first heard it but eventually, you have to remember how close a lot of people are there and let them have their peace.

Collision was great - Jack/Dorada was the match of the night by far.

The opening 10 man was fun and chaotic, just what it needed to be.

The Juice & ThighsAce vs Death Riders was improved by Yuta bleeding like a stuck pig (seemed hardway), and had an unexpected (to me) ending that had Moxley make a noise that can best be described as a cat who just got picked up and gently put on the other side of a closed door.

Knight dragged Hook to a good match, despite Hook's best efforts to kill him dead at least twice.

Also, this happened:

Nah, he did it right in full view of everyone. His head was slammed into the table, and as he sold his head back he gaffed himself. It was really smooth actually.

Thanks for the added context. I saw this morning that she said his statement lifted her spirits and knew this was just my own preexisting religious trauma talking.

I've got a child w/ severe CP and a gigantic in-law family of people with unrealistic hopes for him, so I totally understand that feeling.

Same here but I think the Dogs needed to be on the right side of a victory after holding the Trios title for like two and a half hours and continuing to serve as the Conglomeration's whipping boys.

I'm just happy to see Myron Reed having fun and getting his name out there after carrying the MLW mid-card on his back for two years.

I'd argue the Rascals have been brought in extremely well. Getting over in losing is challenging but necessary. The current World Champion did it. If the swell of sentiment you're expressing becomes louder in the arenas I sense it'll happen. As for the match against the Death Riders, I'm not sure Xavier Desmond has looked better than he did there. He was sensational for a couple moments. Wentz has been very consitent - he kinda surprises me. His presentation makes me want to assume he lacks something. He doesn't. Every time I see Myron Reed I wonder if his ceiling isn't a lot higher than what's been suggested prior. They're all bump machines, and thus far they've been an excellent addition to the AEW roster.

You know why AEW is awesome?  Because there's definitely a chance Myron Reed could be a top guy there.  Just the idea that AEW is a place where that could realistically happen is wild.

Fun Death Riders/Dogs-Rascals/Martins opener. Dante's new haircut is a plus for his presentation. Another obnoxious babyface Jack Perry promo. If the aim of that promo was for the viewer to want to see Jack eat a big slice of humble pie, then well done. I'll look forward to the Mark Davis match. His match with Dorada was a solid well fought battle. Jack does well paired up with luchadores. Kinda surprisingly, I enjoyed the Shida-Stat melodrama. I liked seeing Stat step up her act. Good week for her. OC/Roddy/O'Reilly-MXMTV was a mostly fun comedy match. Mansoor is helluva talent. I liked Ciampa's goading appearance following the match. I'm on board with the Ospreay-Mox skits, but, as has been discussed, they need to replay them on the A show, not just the lesser watched B show. Willow-Anna Jay was unfortunately not a particularly strong outing. Juice/Ace-Yuta/Garcia was very good. Not a fan of a Big Save where the heroes pose in the aisle before hitting the ring - smells of the Sports Entertainment. The Gunns should have snuck in and first hit 310 to Yuma on somebody, and then posed with their music. Good promo from Kross/Bayne. Skye Blue looked good squashing. She needs to get out of that Ninja act with Julia. I really enjoyed the Hook-Kevin Knight 'Main Event'. Pretty good showing from Hook. Kevin Knight is on an outstanding run. Superb B show. AEDub! Love to Rebel!
