Dolfan in NYC Posted April 13 Posted April 13 The second season is here. There WILL BE A NEW CHAMPION~~ Go Sabs Go! 1
RIPPA Posted April 13 Posted April 13 A little early on that because the Caps can still catch the Flyers (unless something changed in the last few hours)

If the Capitals beat the Blue Jackets in any manner on Tuesday and the Flyers manage just one standings point in their final two games, the Capitals will make the playoffs because they hold the regulation wins tiebreaker. If Philadelphia loses both games in regulation and the Blue Jackets beat the Capitals in regulation, Columbus would make the playoffs because they hold the regulation wins tiebreaker over Philly. If Philadelphia loses both games in regulation and the Blue Jackets beat the Capitals in overtime or the shootout, the Capitals would make the playoffs because they hold the regulation wins tiebreaker over Philly and Columbus.
elizium Posted April 13 Posted April 13 I'm one of the few people who prefers the current division/playoff set up, but it's going to be funny when a Pacific team makes the final again because the Central teams have beaten the shit out of each other again

Super Ape Posted April 17 Posted April 17 I no longer miss the lockout. Sure, we'll probably get dog-walked by the fucking Penguins, but I'm going to embrace the Flyers doing playoff hockey like a drowning man gasping for air.
sabremike Posted April 18 Posted April 18 My vocal chords are going to be totally shot by the end of the game on Sunday.

And they were even positive thoughts Seriously though, happy for a long-suffering fan to get something to cheer about. I was there. The entire day was just wild, the place was packed and going nuts for pregame warm-ups. When Sammy scored the go ahead goal it was the loudest reaction I have ever experienced at a sports event (topping the Clutterbuck empty netter for the Isles to clinch game 6 vs the Caps in 2015 that ended up being the final game at the actual pre renovated Nassau Coliseum). 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 23 Author Posted April 23 Crazy with how integrated he's become in Philly culture, but yesterday was the first (attendable*) Flyers home playoff game since Gritty was... born/hatched/foaled/sprang full grown from the brow of Zeus(?) And with the way the Pens have played, Gritty's going to the 2nd round very soon.

I keep telling myself the 25 years of being the best franchise in the NHL was worth it but would really like to see another Detroit playoff series sometime soon.
odessasteps Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Was talking to a person in their 30s from Michigan this week who did not remember Probert and Kocur, but did remmeber the Federov Era as he called it.
hammerva Posted April 25 Posted April 25 After all these years Sydney Crosby was called for embellishment in Game 3. We are closer to the end of the world every day
