Nope, nothing's changed and it's also still possible for Columbus to be that final slot:

I'm one of the few people who prefers the current division/playoff set up, but it's going to be funny when a Pacific team makes the final again because the Central teams have beaten the shit out of each other again

The current format is like if the NCAA matched up all the top teams in the first round.

I was there. The entire day was just wild, the place was packed and going nuts for pregame warm-ups. When Sammy scored the go ahead goal it was the loudest reaction I have ever experienced at a sports event (topping the Clutterbuck empty netter for the Isles to clinch game 6 vs the Caps in 2015 that ended up being the final game at the actual pre renovated Nassau Coliseum).

Crazy with how integrated he's become in Philly culture, but yesterday was the first (attendable*) Flyers home playoff game since Gritty was...  born/hatched/foaled/sprang full grown from the brow of Zeus(?)

 

And with the way the Pens have played, Gritty's going to the 2nd round very soon.

Yesterday's win by the Pistons was the first playoff win in Little Caesars Arena by any of its tenants. I keep telling myself the 25 years of being the best franchise in the NHL was worth it but would really like to see another Detroit playoff series sometime soon.
