🎼 Rat-tailed Jimmy is a second hand hood... He deals out in Hollywood. Got a '65 Chevy, prime red flames, traded for some powdered goods...

On Smackdown, oh boy did people not like this... (Personally I was about 5 margaritas in, sitting by a pool in Palm Springs, so I just appreciated Cody effectively no selling an NFL KICKER'S  punt and giggled like an idiot)

Supposedly this order came directly from TKO brass (Ari, specifically), so... you know, ugh.  HOWEVER... and this is only a possibility of a silver lining... if it means that Pat is done forever after this,  sure why not.

🎸 Jigsaw Jimmy, he's running a gang... But I hear he's doing O.K. Got a cosy little job, sells the Mexican mob, packages of candy cane...

Yes, we have a new NXT Champion in Tony Spaghetti or whatever sad mobster gimmick he's doing right now. But we have an important update on the Rayo/Bravo Americano saga of "English guy trying to mack it to a Latina"

Godspeed little buddy... you'll get there eventually. ❤️

👨‍🎤 He's the one they call Dr. Feelgood! He's the one that makes you feel alright! He's the one they call Dr. Feelgood...

On tap for this week!  We continue this quite bumpy road to WrestleMania...

One of these days they're going to have Michin win one of these matches and someone is going to win like $30 million on Kalshi.  (Hopefully, Michin herself)

(You just know the director of this video and the band did so much coke before, during, and after filming that none of that went to waste.)

Enjoy the week!

Oh hell yes, we're at the CYA portion of this angle:

I mean I hate Phil, but “MAGA-Fee” is on the nose.

I also hope Stephanie did not give Liz a concussion. That was an awful sound.

I can't wait to see clips on Twitter around Survivor Series time when it's Team TKO versus Team Hunter.

Which show between now and the 18th gets the SHOOT~! promo on the Saudis?

They were very lucky Roman was not there in person tonight as much as Punk irks me Roman would have had zero chance on the mic against him when he's like that.

Skipped Punk's promo. I've never given a shit about pipe bomb Punk as its never felt as authentic to as he likes to claim. Just feels like he is telling a specific part of the audience something they want to hear, and honestly, maybe they need it sometimes.

Theory/Knight was decent. The setups for IShowSpeed and the 6-man tag for Mania worked. The curse angle is dumb fun and brings a strange levity to the rest that mixes better than expected.

Finn/JD never happened as it became a 2 on 1 beatdown on Finn via Dom. Simple but effective. This Finn being ousted story has worked out far better than it probably should have as its not only the most over Finn has been in years but has also led to Dom mostly getting booed again, even if only against Finn.

Lash/Bayley managed something decent, but the two also were kind of off with each other, likely due to it being a first time match. I suspect if we get a second singles it will be a lot better. Still, I dug the finish to this with Lyra getting a bit dirty and showing some willingness to do whatever so she and Bayley can win.

Didn't care about Seth's promo, but I enjoyed Gunther's attack, the subsequent small brawl, and Gunther making sure Heyman knew he was going to owe him one. For something so last minute this worked out better than expected and seems to be setting the stage for the long rumored Brock/Gunther match we have seen for years.

Dug Vaquer's promo vid and later attack on Liv & Roxanne.

Penta/Je'Von/Dragon vs. Los Americanos was good fun and the saw crowd decently hot for the action. Rey's post match appearance and announcement was certainly unexpected. There is no way in hell that man should be healthy enough for Wrestlemania. Either he has turned to some mystical cure, or they are setting up something else with Rey taken out before the match starts like we saw with Bayley last year.

Rhea/Io vs. Mia/B-Fab was pretty decent. Kind of wish it went longer as the crowd was ramping up. Thought the post match beatdown on Rhiyo and Jade's murder of Io was the best thing to happen in this feud so far.

Final segment was exactly what it needed with the contract signing never even starting due to the monsters brawling.

I don't think there was one major standout match, segment, or promo sans likely the Punk opener. That said everything I caught was decent-solid with a good crowd adding a lot to the atmosphere of the show. Weirdly enough, this was probably one of the best shows this Road to Wrestlemania with everything getting decent build and most everything feeling like it was important the way the audience reacted. I'm pleased Houston was into everything here. Hopefully we see more crowds like this the next few weeks alongside decent booking.

CM Punk, the voice of the billionaires (checks notes) oh it’s voiceless this time.

CM Punk, the voice of the voiceless.

EDIT; Either Liv or Roxanne or both have to concussed after that backstage bit. Yikes!

Punk struggling to try to reclaim his "authenticity over approval" is not must see TV for me.  At least Oba/Brock is still compelling.  Pretty sure we're going to get Gunther/Brock at Summerslam for Brock's last match after last night though.

Yeah, Brock Lesnar vs. Gunther at SummerSlam in Lesnar's hometown. It was speculated that match was going to happen at WrestleMania XL but Brock Lesnar was named in the Janel Grant lawsuit.

I hope Brock loses both to Oba and Gunther and goes out on his back, like I honestly would've never expected him to do.

Alvarez is reporting that Liv and Roxanne are both in concussion protocol.

Since the majority of people who think McAfee's promo on Smackdown actually worked for WM used the "reverse psychology" strategy because he was a heel; is Pat going to cut a promo bragging about how expensive tickets for Wrestlemania is needed because they want to get rid of the "poors"

Meltzer on the pod saying that, if he didn't know any better, we're getting a heel stable of McAfee, Ari, Vince, and Roman, is awesome.  LOOOOL this dumb company.  Booking is at 2000 WCW levels.

Brock needs to give Oba a beatdown on one of these RAWs to give us a little hope that Oba wins at WM.  The more I see setup of this the more it feels like Brock is winning

Especially if this is leading to the rumored Retirement match with Gunther/cashing in favor on Heyman.
