Cobra Commander Posted April 1 Posted April 1 would Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant have technically been a hobo at various times in his life? a hobo being a migrant worker who travels and is willing to work at the very least, Valiant might be the most hobo-ish wrestler who just travels from town to town but might not technically have a home
odessasteps Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Arguably most territorial wrestlers could be described as iterenent. 1
hammerva Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Please tell me the "Chris Jericho might not be going to WWE" talk from Meltzer is just a bad April Fools joke

Honestly, the fact that he is seemingly out of WWE and AEW should only be thought of as a good thing. 1

Wasn't his gimmick that he's the boy from NYC or is that just cause of his entrance song? Wouldn't it make sense that his home base is Manhattan? 1

Jericho in WWE would be much better because there is no way in hell Triple H is going to be sweet talked as easy Tony was into being the center of attention Yes being out of both is the best thing but I dont Chris satisfied with that

zendragon Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I just assume a group called The Street people are permanently unhoused
odessasteps Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I don’t remember if the Valiant Brothers were billed as be8ng from NYC or not.

Are they the undead as well? Also, the issue in NYC is they're not so much unhoused as they take shelter in parks and near the closest transit stations. This is opposed to rural areas where he's mostly wrestled where being unhoused is a huge issue especially in the heat and rainy season.

It's clear that NYC and "Hollywood" were suppose to be these mythical, larger than life places where highly eccentric people can be billed from. Then, they started billing straight rednecks and the like between the Bob Hollys and Steve Austins of the world as being from Hollywood, and it just lost all value. 1

odessasteps Posted April 1 Posted April 1 (edited) I just looked at a WWF tag match and the valiants were billed from Chicago. Which makes sense given how long they worked for Bruiser. Edited April 1 by odessasteps

IIRC, John Tatum was originally billed as being from Hollywood, Florida and then it morphed into Hollywood CA

First off, are they someone's landscaper or pool cleaner? Cause that's the only way they would be in Hollywood or Beverly Hills or Brentwood. Second, why devalue something like that on enhancement talent? That reminds me when the NWO/The Outsiders would face jobbers in a NWO presented match on WCW Saturday Night. They would do a Tale of the Tape and for some guy's record (I believe tagging up with Pez Whatley of all people), they listed, "It Ain't Much". 1
