Cutting Zoey while injured is shady as fuck but not surprising given the company

unless Piper Niven is planning a return, Chelsea is going to be at it alone which is disappointing

Zoey is already healed up. Apparently she was training to returning.

They started tying Chelsea to Tiffany the past month or so.

I don't know he is in the ring, but Lumis has the look of "person you'd be uncomfortable around at the concert"... so there's something there with the look... but the betting favorite for his next employer is TNA, isn't it?

He was in TNA before so it makes sense.

While feeling for the talent on a personal level, will any of these characters really be missed, apart from maybe Alba, since she’s part of Chelsea’s gimmick?

I'll miss Lumis, Rowan, Cross, but admittedly not as the Wyatt Sicks.

It’s monetizing mourning.  It was a crass idea from the start, IMO.

The build started before Bray passed so I don't really see it as a crass idea or an attempt to monetize mourning in its original genesis.

Fuck TKO. Fuck Triple H. Fuck Nick Khan. And, just because today is a day that ends in “y,” fuck CM Punk.

I’m sure he’ll be just as willing to publicly call out his employers for their soulless corporate greed as he was when he hadn’t burned every other bridge in pro wrestling…

MCMG, Kairi, Santos, Black, Zelina, and Crews are gone according to Fightful.

I'm kind of shocked Crews lasted so long.

Black & Zelina getting released before Rusev seems odd.

Looks like the NXT/PC departures are being named now.

Malik Blade, Luca Crusifino, Tyriek Igwe, Tyson Dupont, Tyra Mae Steele, Chris Island, Sirena Linton, & Trill London are gone.

Never heard of the last three.  I assume more PC/NXT people end up gone before this is over unless they move them up. Particularly will be surprised if Thea Hail lasts.

Zoey Stark, if she can avoid further injury, would be a nice AEW pickup. You could tell some people in WWE were behind her but had no idea how to present her besides "I dunno...throw her out there and hope people start cheering...or booing...whatever" If the injuries haven't slowed her too much, she did some really impressively athletic stuff in the ring back in NXT then left your jaw dropped at times.

Can’t wait for Malakai to come back to AEW and suddenly start having back issues.

Surprised about Alba and Kairi as they were tv mainstays, especially Kairi who was primed to finally turn on Asuka. Sigh. And I figured that there was still juice in the Hervice as Chelsea is an act that works well with sidekicks.

Amazing Luca tried to reinvent himself in that goofy CJ Parker/Adam Rose rip off and didn't even make it a month

I dont feel too bad for MCMG because I feel like they were just there to say they went to the WWE and Wrestlemania.  I dont think he was seeing this as a future.  The person who probably should be worried is Johnny Gargano because now he is back at just "depressed guy who planks a lot"

Zelina had a mini-meltdown on Twitch, telling Sapp to go fuck himself for reporting she was released before she got a chance to announce it on Twitter herself.

But, that’s just, like… how journalism works???

Tafka Crews, Escobar, MCMG, Alba Fyre, Nikki Cross… they’d all be great in all elite. If Malakai was cool on his way out, bring back HOB with Mathews & maybe Rowan instead of King. I really think there’s only been one (two, if you count Hager) bridge truly burned with TK.

Sickening seeing these cuts and job losses when WWE/TKO is making lots of money. Fuck WWE and fuck TKO.

Fuck 'em for pricing lifelong fans out of attending shows as well because ticket prices are so expensive.

Agreed. Sucks we'll never get the Kairrriiiii payoff. I love Chelsea Green and really like the Secret Hervice.

According to Zelina she was released by TKO and not the WWE.  So almost wonder who knew about the release first the wrestlers or the WWE

@Coach Tony K, i need you to book MCMGs vs. FTR this time.

isn't that like trying to say "i got fired by corporate Wal-Mart, not by my store"? they're essentially one and the same.

TKO deems cuts are necessary, those in management in WWE decide who goes. I thought that’s pretty obvious.

TKO: “we don’t need 3 Japanese women. We are Cutting one of them.”
WWE: “but we’re about to do a big angle with them.”
TK.O: “I said WE ARE cutting one of them.”

Well at least they were smart not to mention the fourth Japanese woman

I'm putting the whole "firing people is bad" deal to the side for now as like... even accepting them as theoretically necessary I don't get why you couldn't keep Kairi and probably Black around for another month to get something out of them beforehand. Kairi could stand up for herself against Asuka finally and Asuka could then straight kill her off, Black has been protected enough that say the former Hobbs beating him handily would mean something.

MCMGs shoulda went to NXT, they were a poor fit and while their booking wasn't much they never seemed like they were even approaching getting over.

They were right to let Santos Escobar's contract expire last year and I still have no idea why they went out of their way to bring him back only to end up right back here.

The Wyatts started hot but their disappearing for half a year killed their momentum entirely and it was never gonna be a long term angle.

Black seemingly went to bat to get Brody and Buddy into AEW, I wonder if they return the favor. If he's not too expensive he might be worth bringing back just to try and salvage Julia Hart.

I am stunned the Vikings survived.

Honestly, they really weren't. Santos was massively over in AAA and could have been used well there at the very least. He has also been able to get a bit over on the main roster at times. They just never put enough effort to build and keep his momentum.
