I'd say top five. Look at it this way - how many folks in the history of this business have worked in the office for three major promotions at the same time? Rocky works for NJPW, AEW, and CMLL. Not only that, but he brought all of these promotions together. 5

I was planning on going to the Dynamite following DoN in Philly, but this being at DoN has me seriously contemplating a small road trip and switching plans on their head. If i do, would be my daughters third AEW PPV and 2 of them being in a different state. She loves AEW so much, it's awesome to see. 7

AEW has an amazing track record with then and Double or Nothing is one of their biggest shows. You'll also get the annual Anarchy in the Arena match.

Technico Support Posted April 20 Posted April 20 (edited) I'm beating a dead horse because Alvarez, etc are harping on it, but two really ridiculous things AEW needs to stop doing are: Babyfaces coming back from injury, but the injured body part is as vulnerable as the flashing part on the boss in a Nintendo game. What the fuck was the time off for if you're still hurt? Doctors or refs stopping a match to make sure a guy isn't too hurt to continue. If you have to ask, the answer is "yes, he's too hurt." Aside from my theory that TK owns stock in Ensure (Jericho, C&C, Hurt Biz), I think he also owns stock in Kineseo tape. Half the roster looks like a Christmas present. They started off with a few minutes of britstyle stuff, and when Shibata tied himself into a knot and stuck out his hand for the Lady of the Lake, Will looked at it like an Irish setter looking at an unfamiliar toy. He wasn't quite sure what it was or why, but there was no force on earth that would stop him from grabbing it just to see what happens. 1 2

On the other hand, if you establish that as a legitimate finish, then go all in on it. Start having the doc saying guys cannot continue on a regular basis, so that you have that finish in your back pocket for a more important match. 2

Sure, if you're going to do it, at least call off the match once in a while. If not, it's just a lame time out in a (worked) sport that has no time outs. 2

Even Danielson mentioned it on commentary this week. why are we trusting referees to make these calls anyway? they are blind and prone to massive bouts of blacking out due to the smallest physical interaction. 4

username Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I think it depends on how you handle it. If they have to check a limb or something sure I'd buy that, but don't insult my intelligence by suggesting an AEW doctor would ever consider stopping a match due to a head injury >_> 1 2
