Let me give it a shot. The WCW heel run was clearly the peak of his powers - every bit the remarkable Blue Album/Pinkerton run. I love Jericho in that era like I love of those first two albums. WWE debut was the excellent Hash Pipe return single. The run that followed was the favourable mixed bag that is the Green Album. Jericho then goes on Cruise Control through the largely uninteresting WWE Aughts. In this era, Weezer is even less interesting. Jump ahead a decade and a half, Jericho then wisely uses his star power to Main Event the Tokyo Dome and is a key in launching a (far more good than bad; often great) promotion. Weezer coast on their laurels. Does Weezer use their starpower for anything 'good' or artistically progressive in this later era? Perhaps a 2000s Weezer enthusiast would know? Nonetheless, they continue to find way$ to $tir up the hyperbole 'best Weezer album since Pinkerton (or the Green Album)' time and time again with less than satisfying actual results. Despite a few glimmers of hope for the Lionheart, this era of Weezer corelates well with the outright failure of the Learning Tree. So too much of his middling output post uncertain, somewhat vague accusations. This is going to be an uphill climb going forward. I do think the possibility of a good late career Chris Jericho run has a far greater possibility than a new and good Weezer album. Edited April 4 by HarryArchieGus 3

There was the time Jericho was a little heavier than usual and was botching the Lionsault pretty regularly. Twitter came alive and some NBA stars(?) or commentators were poking fun at our aging Wizard. That's probably a poor comparison as well. Oh I got it, Dinner Debonaire! That again sees Jericho with the stronger effort versus Weezer and their weak Toto cover. Much preferred the song and dance with Jake Friedman. 1

IIRC, it was during the NBA playoffs that first year of AEW, when they were still on TNT, so Dynamite was on after a big playoff game. They were expecting a big audience, because of the game, so they out Jericho out there in the first match and this was when he was at his most bloated. He & AEW got absolutely roasted on Twitter. 2
