Just once, I need the staging of this PPV to have a huge, ornate staircase and a women's hardcore match where one of them takes a bump down the stairs.  Thekla/vs Stat blowoff evening gown and champagne streetfight for the inaugural Alexis Cup.

Maybe TNA can counter program it with TNA: Falcon Crest.

MJF possibly (actually?) being transitional champ, to, finally, professional crash test dummy Darby (no disrespect) humors me. They can each slander each other for being gimmick workers. The pop when Darby hits the roll up and/or bridge into the three will be earth-shattering. Max can lose his smile! Sometimes it just writes itself.

Dynasty purchased via Triller TV, but with relatively steep price of 26e. I'm sure it will be worth the price eventually, but what are the odds that Buddy Matthews makes his return here? That would make it worth the price, even if he just showed up for a run-in of post match save/attack.

AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley vs. Will Ospreay.

AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR vs. Christian Cage/Adam Copeland.

---

Matches in bold I'm interested in. MJF/Omega the most.

Not even considering an Omega victory a possibility, huh?

Fun fact, when Copeland & Cage win the titles on Sunday, it will be the first time they have won tag team gold together in 25 years.  (Last reign ended 4/17/2001)

So, the next thing that's popped into my mind is, "Where's Swerve gonna be?" Does he interfere in the heavyweight title match? Does he make an entrance during the TNT Casino match (which would feel like a step down for him)? Does he have any unfinished business with Jericho?

Jesus.

C&C, Hurt Syndicate, and Jericho all coming back at the same time, raising the average age of the roster by 10, doesn't feel great from a perspective of what I selfishly want from wrestling.  Maybe TK is just doing market manipulation and owns stock in Ensure.

Swerve literally killing off Jericho would be an interesting plot twist.

Going with:

MJF over Omega

Moxley over Ospreay(Only because I feel like this is the year to get the main belt on Ospreay in London)

Cage and Cope over FTR

Darby over Andrade

Thekla over Hayter

Bucks over Okada/Takeshita

Gauntlet:  Wishful thinking, but strap up Brody King, immediately.

Jericho over Ricochet

Windsor over Shafir

The only one I had trouble with was Mox/Ospreay

I nearly went with Brody King. Tempted to change my pick. Only reason why I didn't was if he's on rightful sympathy leave after the suicide of his friend Bo Lueders. I know some people find work helps after losing a loved one while some don't. It's the last thing on my mind speaking from experience. Got to do right by you.

Not a lot of buzz on the board going in. I'm a pretty consistent second day viewer due to the marathon run times. Nonetheless, looking forward to watching what will surely be an excellent card of pro wrestling (in 2 or 3 parts).

AEW World Champion MJF vs. Kenny Omega.

Gauntlet match for vacant TNT title. Rush.

Chris Jericho vs. Ricochet.

Preshow was pretty fun, with lots of tall ladies rasslin. This was the first non-squash I've seen Hyan and Maya World compete in and they looked great! Great addition to the new division.

Opening tag was amazing. I was laughing my ass off for half of it due to the shenanigans from Callis and Okada. Can't wait to see where Takeshita goes from here.

Jericho looked decent in his return and it was nice to see him lose. Ricochet needed a nice win and it was not expected.

Darby/Andrade over-delivered, what a fun bout. Andrade's tiny shorts are scandalous!

FTR vs. Cage/Cope was a nice breather match in the best way. Very good match without a lot of high spots. Thought they would win the titles here but maybe they're waiting for the expected TLC match for that.

Casino Gauntlet match was a lot of fun, I love this gimmick. Was great to see Knight win but I hope he and Speedball remain a team.

Thekla/Hayter had the most predictable outcome but was still really good, Thekla looked vicious and her gear looked awesome.

Mox is so fucking good. He's been playing face for months yet perfectly played his part in this match. Bought a lot of near falls at the end but knew it was over after that last Death Rider DDT. Wouldn't mind the feud being over now but knowing AEW it will go on for at least another month. No reason the title needed to be on the line.

The Dogs all seem pretty lame. I hear Finlay is good so I'll give him a chance but Kidd and the other guy haven't impressed me. Surprised to see the title change hands so fast but nice to see Fletcher get the win.

Main event was really good. Was pulling for Kenny at the end but MJF pulled off a nice victory.

Lots of heels won tonight, which was one of the reasons I thought Kenny would win the World Title. Still a very good show, especially the first 3 matches

I can't believe Thekla tainted the sanctity of the Backlund Cradle by grabbing the ropes for leverage

(no really it was the sort of quicky dirty pin that suggests Hayter might be in the mix for a rematch, which I'll definitely not complain about)

We always have fun in the chat but this one was looooooong. Thekla/Hayter was your MOTN, just vicious stuff. Runner up is Darby/Andrade and then I'd actually put the Bucks match at 3 if not the FTR/Old Canadians tag; the Okada vs. Takeshita stuff was just too fun. Okada was in such a way, putting on the Bucks gear, doing a practically Orange-esque lazy falling elbow, being a dick. It was classic. Darby appeared to show up to the ring wearing insulation and Andrade was super on point. Edge bled and Christian was super good as always.

Now on the other hand... *sigh* Mox/Ospreay started off like "oh yeaaaaah this is gonna be a sick grudge match" and had a high-speed come-apart because Will just can't help himself. The six-man started with a fake sitcom and a guy peeing on a couch after somebody humped it. And that main event? I'm not gonna even start. Somewhere in the middle was the Gauntlet (congrats to Kevin Knight) and the pre-show tag (the Amazonians are badass). I'm not gonna rate Jericho/Ricochet, I was eating dinner during it anyway so not paying proper attention. One last thing, these really don't need to be four hours long, but when you have all that bullshit in the main I guess you have to? Also some of this should have been reordered.

Surprised to see Jericho lose his return and thought for sure Cope & Cage would win the titles, loved the tag match still.  When Speedball entered, I thought he'd be a perfect TNT champ but Knight works too. Mox/Ospreay was pretty killer. Thekla is my fav, her and Hayter was great, definitely here for more matches with opponents I actually like too like this.  Welcome back Kamille, hope she doesn't get killed off like those before her on Wednesday.   Great to see Kyle O'Reilly back, as soon as I saw him I was thinking they can't have him lose right away but  also couldn't see the Dogs having such a short reign but kind of loving it still. I know it was mentioned here before the idea that the trios titles should be like this with constant changes all the time and they're really running with that.  Epic main event delivered the goods and flows right in to MJF/Darby on Dynamite next.
