I was screaming at Alex Anthopoulos to spend more $ on starting pitching. Not only did he understand what he had with Reynaldo Lopez & Bryce Elder, but he also appears to have pulled off a couple more "AA specials." Dom Smith and Mauricio Dubon are playing otherworldly baseball right now, and Jorge Mateo is also playing well. For this Braves team to be where they are with Acuna, Riley, Yastrzemski, and Harris hitting far below expectations is a testament to how this roster was constructed.

RIPPA Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Trout's 5 HRs in the series tied Jimmie Foxx (1933), Darrell Evans (1985) and George Bell (1990) for most HRs in a series against the Yankees (this is why I love franchises that have been around forever when you can go all the way back to Jimmie Foxx It also kinda made folks forget that Aaron Judge hit 4 HRs in the series

I joked before the season that Boone better tell the team that only Judge, Stanton and Bellinger are allowed to challenge. (I will now also add the catchers when behind the plate). I guess what I am saying is I am excited for having another reason Aaron Boone should be fired

The price tag is $3.9 billion To give you an idea of how many exclamation points that number needs... the previous sale record was for YOUR New York Mets for a price of $2.4 billion. 1

It's still early but MLB is much better when he's playing and hitting. 1
