RIPPA Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 St. Bonaventure Coach Mark Schmidt is "retiring" at the end of the A-10 tournament I use the quotes because the internet is convinced Wojo forced him out

Cobra Commander Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan fired their coaches on the same day Iowa State assistant got the San Diego job UNC-Greensboro fired their coach Northern Illinois fired their coach Louisiana-Monroe fired their coach after one season, where the team went 4-27
Brian Fowler Posted March 10 Posted March 10 (edited) Eastern and Western Michigan both went 10-21 overall, and 4-14 in conference play, finishing in a three-way tie with Northern Illinois for the bottom Central Michigan, by the way, also went 10-21, though they managed a 6-12 MAC mark. And the three directional Michigan teams all went 1-1 against each other. Weird year. Edited March 10 by Brian Fowler
Cobra Commander Posted March 10 Posted March 10 NIU is on their way out of the MAC, their football is going to the Mountain West, and almost everything else is going to the Horizon League So NIU football is in the same conference as Hawaii. NIU basketball will be in the same conference as Robert Morris. 1

Multiple times, we showed up to games with our passes and ended up with basically front row seats. You wouldn't even get in the building at all if you tried that with hockey.
Cobra Commander Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Dartmouth essentially fired their coach (they didn't renew his contract) after going 87-160 over 9 seasons Dartmouth basketball hasn't finished above .500 since 1998-99 and hasn't made the NCAA tournament since 1959
Cobra Commander Posted March 11 Posted March 11 so is Syracuse high enough profile to get the coach of a mid-major whose team wins 2 NCAA tournament games?
Cobra Commander Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Oregon State hired a Michigan assistant as their new HC
Cobra Commander Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Arizona State fires Hurley as soon as the season ends (ISU demolished ASU too)
Cobra Commander Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Tennessee Tech hiring Tobin Anderson (who prefers to remembered more for the FDU tourney run than his 2 seasons at Iona)
Cobra Commander Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Add the Georgia State HC to the list of fired coaches Kim English was fired by Providence as expected SLU extended their HC

Mister TV Posted March 14 Posted March 14 17 hours ago, Cobra Commander said: Pitt isn’t firing their coach Pitt isn’t firing Capel or football coach Pat Narduzzi, both have crazy high buyout numbers. Pitt doesn’t have a billionaire alum who’d write the checks to make them go away.
