Meltzer:

There is talk of a couple of AEW stars in G-1 this year. AEW is working with New Japan as Bryan Danielson, Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega have done ads for the 7/11 show in Chicago putting over how important and grueling the tournament is. Tickets were under 2,000 the first day they were put on sale.

Here's hoping. Who would you have? Claudio Castagnoli is a name that came straight to mind. Konosuke Takeshita will be in as defending G1 Climax Champion.

If his visa issues are cleared up, Bandido would fit perfectly into that.  Claudio, absolutely. Maybe Ciampa?

Brody King comments on going viral over his anti-ICE stance.

"It has been great, and I feel like, you know, when I was younger, I always wanted somebody who felt like me—on TV or wherever—to express the way that they felt so I could have someone to champion for me.

"And if I can be that for other people who are being marginalized, then I want to be that for them. Everyone tries to bring up the political thing, but in my opinion, it’s just about what’s right and what’s wrong. There’s a lot of wrong happening in the world, and if I can speak out against it, then I will."

Mox is always a candidate for anything NJPW related, and him stepping away from AEW for a month might be a good thing.

Kevin Knight is/was on a duel contract with NJPW, right?  I'd imagine he would be a good candidate.

Brody King in the G1 would rule.

Being up from what is widely considered one of the worst episodes of a Dynamite in a long time is extra impressive, and as was pointed out online this was also going up against Baseball opening night (albeit one game streaming on Netflix). They’re doing a lot of things right, even if it isn’t all for me, and they clearly have momentum.

I've seen a few ppl dunk on that episode from the 18th. There's been so many grade A episodes, especially in the last couple months, that the bar's been raised so high. That episode had Ospreay-Blake Christian, Yuta/Mox-Ass/Juice, Bailey-Davis, Shafir-Mina and the Bucks/Perry-Okada/RPG, and all were fun TV matches. The Kidd-Darby pre-match segment was undeniably lame, but the actual match was kinda interesting and a bit more arguable. There was a clumsy Swerve promo segment on that show, but it wasn't that bad. Nothing a little skim couldn't help. Not to say it was a great episode, but it was still far better than most of the TV wrestling I've seen. Especially in the last two and a half decades.

The Beast Mortos, maybe he can win over there from time to time 🙂
