To the surprise of no one Kyrie will miss the entire season as he "focuses on being ready for next season"

Now this is a touch unfair due to the All Star Break but Chicago and Sacramento are both staring down the barrel of winless Februarys

The Bulls play two home games more this month.

The Kings - unsurprisingly - haven't won in over a month already (last win was Jan 18). They have 3 games this week they will try and tank

If the majority of concession stands dont sell lemon pepper wings then the entire PR department should be fired

Somewhere James Harden is begging for a 1 day contract

Cleveland and Detroit don't have hardly any stars left on the floor between injuries and fouls, but don't tell them that. Nutso finish to regulation.

Almost the same thing as that crazy ending in the basketball thread yesterday. Except at least it only tied the game instead of the Cavs losing then.

But, in the end, it was still DEEE-TROIT BASKETBALL

And then Den/OKC turns into a madhouse with a night full of chippiness and Dort committing a cheap foul. Joker flips a switch and goes full Serbian Mafia with some all-time utter craziness in his eyes. That's...gonna be a meme.

Did we learn nothing from Markieff Morris? Jokic will cut your heart out, feed it to you, and then go back home and ride horses without his heart rate ever topping 65.

Edit: Just watched the replay. Man, Dort was cheap as all heck there. Very, very lucky he took no retaliation there.

Harrison Barnes logged a DNP last night.  It breaks his 364 consecutive games played streak.

The bottom 10 teams by record in the NBA have now lost a combined 44 straight games.

The reason is tremendous as he somehow fucking hurt his ankle while taking a nap

It's fun when people in NYC finally find out about something they haven't paid any attention to, but the rest of the country already knew about.

Ladies and gentlemen, S G A...

I *really* hate saying the Knicks got screwed on these, but...  jeez.

Jayson Tatum looks like he's coming back this season.

Great.

I get to spend the next 20-40 games with higher blood pressure than usual.

The comments on that first one are hilarious.  SGA could freaking pull out an ax and split somebody's head open with it and there would be "fans" claiming he did nothing wrong, lol.  "His foot was moving" (yeah, backward).  "SGA was just catching a pass" (no, he wasn't).  "He didn't extend his arm" (so what?).  That's a foul all day, people.

The ABC feed on Spectrum has been out of sync all weekend, and it'll absolutely fuck with your head to hear the announcers "predict" the play about to transpire.

The last two champs had no losing streaks of more than 2 games.  If that holds again this year, then the only teams left who can win it all are OKC and the Spurs.  The Knicks are especially baffling.  Multiple 6+ game win streaks, but also multiple 4-game losing streaks.

I feel like the Knicks have a real shot to at least win the East if somebody else beats Detroit for them. Because the Pistons have just utterly wrecked them all three games, but it's not like Detroit looked unbeatable even before this past week or so.
