Kris Bryant says his back is so bad he can't play baseball but he isn't retiring

Amazing how quickly Anthony Rendon's worst contract ever got challenged by someone else

His contract made no sense when it was signed. He was coming off a "meh" year and was already 30. He did play well for the 5 minutes he was healthy in 2022 though.

Rendon was coming off a great year so it made me sense from that perspective. He also was really good for the 5 minutes he was healthy the first year of the contract.

Skenes & Webb should be able to tote the water, but that's disappointing. I get it, though. Going into a contract year.

My favorite part is he also said that if the US makes the finals he will return… but just to cheer on the team

He will make $27 million next year with an option for 2028

Also, the Braves have solved their TV situation by simply launching Braves Vision. This has the potential to put them in the Dodgers' tax bracket.

Unless they get the same exemption that MLB gave the Dodgers (which they won’t) - I don’t think they will

Three challenges in three innings is just gonna be too much.

They either need to limit the number of challenges or all the umps are going to walk out.

Eh - it won't be like this during the regular season

Teams are letting guys play with the system to figure it out and most of the "stars" play the early innings and then bounce. That is why it is so front loaded during Spring Training games

I know more than one team has basically said at the beginning it will be a free for all and then later in spring training a team will establish some rules around how they want to handle the ABS (like with the Yankees most reporters are saying... only half joking... that only Judge, Stanton and Bellinger will be allowed to challenge)

The Yankees went 6 for 7 with ABS challenges yesterday for what it's worth.

You all seem to forget, this will allow Aaron Boone to actually manage the game more (threat)

Max Scherzer is returning to the Blue Jays

1 year deal worth $3 million

There are $10 million in incentives (starting with him just needing to pitch in 65 innings)

The agreement also contains a full no trade clause
