colonial Posted January 24 Posted January 24 TIL that Uncle Floyd's brothers were part of the Max Weinberg 7 -- Jimmy and Jerry Vivino. Primarily born and raised in New Jersey, Uncle Floyd was part of the Jersey bloodline. A very goofy show that catered to children and adults, kind of an in-between connecting Soupy Sales with Pee-Wee's Playhouse. Back in high school, we did a student talent show every spring. Among the subjects and themes always banned from the show (this was a Catholic school) was anything made famous by Uncle Floyd. One group wanted to perform this song and were kicked off the show ... Also introduced to plenty of pop culture faves thanks to Uncle Floyd ... Lots of these jokes go over your head when you are 7 or 8 ...

odessasteps Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I wonder how many people even know who Joey Heatherton was these days. 2
Craig H Posted January 30 Posted January 30 This one hurts. A lot. Oh man. I...Enough to cry. I'd go to watch Schitt's Creek or Home Alone or Beetlejuice or the litany of things I've loved her in but I think it would hurt to much. Not sure what else you can really say about her. She was the movie and TV mom to many of us, hilarious, kind, smart...I'm going to greatly miss her. 3
Travis Sheldon Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Been a fan since the SCTV days Don't think I can put my finger on a favorite role of hers. Loved her in all the Guest Mockumentaries, Schitt's Creek was sublime, and she was always a bright spot in lesser films. Heartbreaking loss. R.I.P.
Zimbra Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Somebody brought up that she was the best off-key singer in the world and, yeah
