It’s just so bland. A huge map for 2 teams of three feels like wasted space. Gunplay doesn’t feel good at all. Funny you say this as someone noticed that the Steam description of the game has been updated to remove all references to Titanfall
SirFozzie Posted January 28 Posted January 28 If ARC Raiders folks have any surveyor vaults, can I negotiate a trade for them? The new project requires them
RIPPA Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 My wife got me Astro Bot for my birthday so I will be switching to that 2
JLSigman Posted January 29 Posted January 29 GOG.com has added the Nintendo DS (aka 3D) versions of FF III and FF IV, the FF VIII remaster, and FF IX to their catalog.
odessasteps Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I saw in the Xbox store that there’s a sale for FF 1-6 for like $60 or so.

I don't remember why I walked away from it, because it's gorgeous, runs on my machine, and being a Ranger is a valid choice. Finished up the Ego Draconis part, and they really had the guts to say, "Surprise! You fucked up!" before throwing you into the DLC. I can't imagine how that went over originally.
odessasteps Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I finished off the Dutch portion of RDR1 but now im just doing all the side stuff before I return home, meet Uncle and get ready for whats coming next. I am so bad at five finger filler that I dont know if I will get all the outfits l.
RIPPA Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 Every time I play something on my PS5 - I am reminded why I don't like motion controls Thankfully Astro Bot has an option to change it to being controlled on the left stick
Tabe Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Yesterday was the 12-year anniversary of me buying a PS4. I've put hundreds of hours into playing it over the year but cannot remember the last time I played it. I remember it was Horizon Zero Dawn - which I really liked but didn't finish. Has to be at least two years. 1

It got to the point where games were too expensive and the arthritis in my hands didn't like the controller anymore.

Anymore, 90% of my time that previously would have been spent playing video games is spent practicing cubing instead. And then, if I do want to game, I do something casual on my PC since that's where I already am. Edited February 6 by Tabe 1
Cliff Hanger Posted February 6 Posted February 6 In case anyone besides me is still playing PinballFX, they've renewed the Bethesda license and the Skyrim, Doom and Fallout tables will launch on the current platform next Thu. This is the first time since they started giving credit for PFX3 purchases that they've released something I had, so I don't know if it's a discount or free but whatever. PinballM versions with blood added seem like a waste but whatever. Their last news video included the hosts calling attention to the Judge Dredd machine they just had installed, so presumably that will be the next "costs extra because we had to buy a license" Williams table.
JLSigman Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I have rolled credits on Divnity II: Developer's Cut. It's very thumbs in the middle, because on the one hand it's original, still gorgeous, and easy to play. On the other hand, the plot is spread thin, the map sucks, and the game absolutely refuses to help you. I do kinda want a third part, since Flames of Vengeance ends with one bad guy still at large. Gonna install Divine Divinity next, I think. I'm not ready to go back to Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter at the moment.
tbarrie Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I picked up Divinity: Original Sin early last week; it was on sale for like 80% off. I haven't gotten very far into it yet. The basic plot setup seems competent but not startlingly original. 1

Casey Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Jean-Charles Gaudechon is the new CEO of Remedy. This... this isn't good. He was instrumental in FIFA Mobile, Battlefield Heroes and stuff from free-to-play games that EA later adopted across a multitude of games.
Zimbra Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Credits rolled on Psychonauts 2. It was a much better game in terms of being actually playable than the first one, but still felt unfinished in places. Would play a Psychonauts 3 in a heartbeat. We started Strange Antiquities, which is a delightful little puzzle box. Once this is over (it's pretty short) going to play Perfect Tides. 1
RIPPA Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 I have been debating with myself on what to do with God of War Since I finished Astro Bot and the dust is knocked off my PS5 - I am torn with trying to pickup where I left off on God of War I have no fucking idea what the controls were but I also feel like I am too far along to completely restart

It was too iteritive in the early going with the mechanics, and it feels like one you kind of have to play through over a month or so to completion. I had gotten to where the world opens up and the portals, so I'm guessing I was 30-40ish percent through it a few years ago.

Looking at a main quest line walkthrough - I think I am at the 2nd to last main storyline I probably will fire it up and see exactly where I am at but yeah this might be a lost cause
RIPPA Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 Okay my save files tell me its been just over three years since I played this fucker I am definitely 85-90% of the way through so hopefully I have more puzzles than combat to start as I try to figure shit out again Already have crouch be on X instead of jump is fucking with me
odessasteps Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I got God of War as a PS5 bundle and still haven’t played it.
RIPPA Posted February 12 Author Posted February 12 In what is definitely not a good sign - Highguard developer Wildlight Entertainment laid off most of its staff today
Casey Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Geoff Keighley really fucked these guys over with giving them that last slot at the Game Awards. Put this anywhere else on that show, and it releases like normal, and nobody would really have a problem with it I bet. Switch the positioning of Fate of the Old Republic and Highguard, and everything would be fine. Highguard is very average and competing for player's time in a world where stuff like Apex, Marvel Rivals, Fortnite, Arc Raiders, (soon) Marathon, COD, Battlefield, etc already exist. Throw it on as the last game where, more often than not, the last slot is reserved for bigger announcements, and it elicits rage from a group of people that aren't known to hold their feelings back. And most of the review bombing has nothing to do with the game, it's over the aforementioned showcase slot, or things like "mAkE tItAnFaLl 3" and shit. I'll say it here: Titanfall isn't anything special. Maybe it was a "you had to be there" type of thing, and I didn't play either of them on release, but playing the second one like a decade or so later... ehhh. It's fun, but it's not mindblowing. Still haven't finished it, if that tells you anything.
