I finished PW2 so I started Star Wars Outlaws since that just hit GamePass

Boy now I can see why everyone complained about TOO MUCH STEALTH~! when technically the prologue is entirely a stealth mission (and that is with whatever changes they made after the complaints)

And I would like to have a conversation with whoever decided to make Right Thumbstick the interact button

Ubisoft Cancels 6 Projects Including Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake, Closes 2 Studios and Confirms Further Layoffs in Major Company Restructure

Quote

Ubisoft has announced a sweeping company restructure that will result in the cancelation of six games including its Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake, and a delay to a further seven titles. Two Ubisoft studios will be closed completely as a result of the changes, while others will be subject to further layoffs.

Of the half dozen games that have been fully scrapped, Ubisoft is only publicly naming one today — its long-awaited Sands of Time remake that was rebooted once already. Three of the canceled games were new IPs, while one was a mobile game. Ubisoft's core focus going forward, the company has said, will be on open-world games and live-services.

No specific detail has been given of the seven titles that Ubisoft has delayed, either, though this number does include the unannounced game once set for launch before March 31 that is widely expected to be the company's Assassin's Creed: Black Flag remaster. This will now launch in the coming financial year — so before March 31, 2027.

Ubisoft Stockholm will fully close as a result of the changes, having previously collaborated on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, alongside mobile studio Ubisoft Halifax (news of which first broke last week). "Restructurings" will also take place at Ubisoft offices in Abu Dhabi, at Trials studio RedLynx and at Massive, home to The Division. In addition, all teams will be required to return to in-office working five days a week, albeit with an annual allowance of remote-working days.

I feel like they fell into the trap of just making the same game over and over again and expecting people to keep buying it.  Assassins Creed and Far Cry were cool for a while, but there are only so many versions of the same game you can sell to people.

the last Assassin's Creed game i remember people getting excited for was AC4: Black Flag. That came out in 2013. So i had to check how many mainline AC games there even were. 14!

The fact that *I* don't buy AC games anymore should tell you that Ubi has lost the plot.

Funny you mention Black Flag because apparently the remake was “delayed”.

Looks like Ambulance Call is the big new game in Yakuza 3 Kiwami. I have no beef with Hopefully-Not-Crazy Ambulance as a game, but the little part of me that's desperate to see Planet Harriers finally land on western shores is still a little sad. But then, I don't really care about this remaster like I did the earlier ones; this is the first Kiwami version of a game I have already played tin its original (well, the 2020 remaster) version. My first two thoughts were "Planet Harriers for the arcade pls" and "golf with the Y2K mechanics and physics, but on a real course, might make me stop hating Y3 golf." Oh well, I can finally beat Spidey 2 and save the money for WWE2K26 the following month.

I'm at the point in Hades 2 where I've maxed out all weapon aspects, all arcana cards, etc., and have completed the surface on 24 heat level. I'm looking at how to complete the underworld run at 32 heat, and whatever combo of difficulties I choose to get to 32 heat, I feel confident that the Argent Skull with Aspect of Persephone activated is probably my best weapon choice to get through it.

There are a number of Chaos challenges that I also have left to do as well as five minor prophecies and completing all the challenges for the Sister Blades. I've got to clear a 10-heat run on the surface with that weapon, which almost sounds like a vacation after all the 20- and 24-heat runs that I've completed in the past few hours of gameplay.

I also did a 13-heat run with the Stygian Blade in the original Hades, and that game feels so different. Part of it is simply the cast being something you fire rather than a damage circle that you place on the ground, which changes the approach to managing enemies significantly. Part of it is the arcana offering different buffs than the Mirror of Night. I might go back and try to finish the challenges that I left unbeaten across my most recent file in that game.

I feel that Hades and Hades 2 are nearly perfect games and that, if Supergiant has any ideas for a Hades 3 in the future, I'd be happy as hell to play another sequel.

Edit: Managed my 32 heat run with the Black Coat, Aspect of Shiva, which is a beastly combination. Felt great to make it through!

Been playing ARC Raiders lately

Just had the closest thing I'll ever have to the adrenaline rush of mad PVP as a PVE carebear.. spawned into a Matriarch and figured to move to the domes.. Apparently the hornets and wasps are a LOT more aggressive about detecting range, because I know I was far enough away, and I hear two of them make the aggro sound. No problem, I see a tube area where I can play hide and go seek with them and pick them off (Anvil/renegade means I can kill with two three good shots, but a miss means the fight goes on a lot longer than I'd like).

I hear two more aggro sounds on my way to the tube.. I think "Strange, they shouldn't have lost me and refound me so quickly".

Nope, not the same two as before. TWO MORE have me, and all four want my guts for garters.

Now, playing hide and go seek is pretty ok with two ARC. Not four. I am running for my life constantly in and around the tube (it doesn't have a cubby hole to hide IN the tube where they won't shoot me, so I'm trying to LOS them). It turns into one of those goddamn Benny Hill chase scenes, only with flying Arc chasing me, instead of pissed off women chasing Benny Hill.

Then a damn POP rolls up on me. I didn't think they could spawn outdoors! I am panicking, I throw a couple seeker grenades and damage one of the flyers and the POP takes down my shield.. I'm already prepared for the knocked out screen, when I hear voice chat... "Hey, you got this under control?"

My reply "No, very much NOT under control".. (I somehow resisted the urge to say "Nope, all good, I'm just taking all my robot friends for walkies! They need their exercise (Bill Engvall: "Here's your sign")

He says "No problem, I'll help.."

I immediately hear two booms as ARC's meet their digital maker via rapid disassembly.

We manage to take down the last two, and he asks if I'm alright.

I replied "I will as soon as the adrenaline rush fades"

Needless to say, I decided that he could have the whole domes area for his exclusive looting, while I went for other, quite possibly safer locations.

And no, if you've read this long, this didn't end with a backstab and a knockout.

I'm doing the character wipe next month so let me know if you want anything. I've got some level four weapons (green, blue, purple) and a legendary weapon from the Queen. Wolfpacks, Deadlines, etc. I've got all the important blueprints, so I can pretty much craft you anything.

Cool to see another ARC Raiders player. I've put in 200 hours since launch lol

I'm running an Anvil/Arpeggio/Renegade combo, I'm possibly doing the wipe too, but there's a lot of BP I don't have (I partied when I got a silencer 2 BP.. and don't have any advanced gun BP

Night Raid Buried City is where I found my Tempest. The Bobcat is the Locked Gate event exclusively, and that only runs on the weekend I believe? I think I found the Vulcano BP on Stella Montis, maybe the same with the Bettina.

I usually run Anvil/Venator, but for the trials this week I've rocked Anvil/Renegade for the small flying ARCs with Wolfpacks for the Rocketeers (two takes one out). If I'm doing Shredders, I go with the Hullcracker with some combo of the Anvil/Il Toro.

Pretty much finished with Valheim until the devs finish the Deep North area. That last boss in the Ashlands was a bitch to beat.

Looking for something new to play and came across Bellwright. Anyone else play this before?

So, Highguard kind of sucks. Can’t believe some of these devs are the same ones that did Titanfall, Apex and CoD. It’s just so bland. A huge map for 2 teams of three feels like wasted space. Gunplay doesn’t feel good at all.

I went back to ARC Raiders and Arknights: Endfield. Yes, a gacha game. And it’s better than Highguard, honestly.

I've only played the opening hours and occasionally debate restarting it.  Thankfully, my focuses right now are FF7 Rebirth and Forza Horizon 5. I also need to get back to doing stuff on my Switch 2.

The save system sucks

So much stealth sucks

I managed to finish Outlaws for the sake of completion when it came out, but I have the Ultimate Edition and haven't had any desire to go back and play the DLC's.
