Dolfan in NYC Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Happy new year! WWE Vault posted Hennig-Rhodes going at it in a dark match for 10 minutes: First ever 2 night Royal Rumble is later this month. 2
zendragon Posted January 1 Posted January 1 So all the archives of Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Royale Rumble Elimination Chamber ect are now up on the US version of Netflix 2
Casey Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) Yeah it appears that ESPN only has a 90 day exclusivity window with whatever PLEs they show, since WWE's version of Wrestlepalooza is on Netflix. I'm assuming eventually they'll just have all the actual WWE content, and the WCW/ECW/territories stuff will be farmed out to YouTube. It's also amusing to me that out of the vast library of WWE shows, Netflix or whoever decides this stuff choose to upload... Great Balls of Fire. And other one off shows like Breaking Point. I'm actually surprised they have all the big four shows (except for 2025 Survivor Series, because of the aforementioned exclusive window). Which begs to question... we have every WrestleMania, Rumble, etc ever on Netflix... but there's still HUGE gaps in the Raw Vault. That's annoying. Still sucks that Smackdown is split between services and still on Peacock. Well, sucks for people that care - I don't know, but my co-worker was right at the time of the ECW re-launch in 2006 in a watchthrough and then they pulled Raw from Peacock so it disrupts the flow (and 2006 isn't in the Netflix archives). All I care about is the ECW stuff. Let's launch that fuckin' YouTube channel, I know it already exists. I also know there's a redub project on a website, I've already grabbed it, but there's still a lot of stuff not there (and I'm sure they have other stuff that wasn't released and whatnot). EDIT: apparently Netflix has damn near all of the WWE PPVs, not just what’s listed in the recently added section. Edited January 1 by Casey 2
zendragon Posted January 1 Posted January 1 There's a lot of stuff like The Wrestling Classic and the IYH PPVs as well. The early years of raw have about an episode a month for some reason and stops in 2001. I wonder if that's because of You Know Who. I wonder if they might be considering adding WCW/ECW content
blitzkrieg Posted January 1 Posted January 1 They basically just flipped the switch on all of the stuff that was available outside of the US. The exceptions being the NXT stuff(recent episodes and Takeovers) and the Smackdown stuff(select back catalog and recent episodes.) Hopefully they can clean up the search results some as lots of stuff currently doesn't have a name attached to it, just thumbnails. 2

It'd actually fix the whole "two rumbles on one show is a bit much" problem if so, I'd rather a two night Rumble than Summerslam actually. 2

Volume 1 will run from the name change in 2002 to WrestleMania XXX. 2
hammerva Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Poor bastard Mr Perfect he must have done 30 takes trying to hit that bullseye 1
zendragon Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I was thinking that Mr. Perfect's kid should have done a bit where he tried to do the towel toss but could never land it.

odessasteps Posted January 3 Posted January 3 At least when he was Curtis Axel, if not Michael Macgillicutty.
Dolfan in NYC Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Tomasso Ciampa will not be renewing his contract when it expires later this year 1
Ryback Hates Bullies Posted January 3 Posted January 3 An interesting choice, but I guess he thinks he has a decent singles run in him elsewhere. Seems like the kind of guy who would have looked after his money. Probably could be a good hand in AEW, not likely to be a prima donna, but I doubt that is what's happening.
username Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I was surprised to read that Ciampa is only 40, he comes off much older. I assume he's either done or feels close to it and would rather spend his last run doing a bit more than WWE was asking of him. I assume AEW would pick him up, think his ceiling there is probably about what Josh Alexander is doing now, kinda worried about him working a more physical style at this stage in his career but ultimately it's his choice. 1

Ramo2653 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I remember Ciampa not wanting to leave NXT because he didn't want to be away from home and wanted to work a lighter schedule because of his neck. It'll be interesting to see what he wants to do going forward. Gargano saying the Hayes ruined everything on SD made it seem like Ciampa was already written off TV at this point. 1
Eivion Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Ciampa leaving disappoints me, but he has also probably gone as far as he could in WWE. 3

Peck Posted January 5 Posted January 5 As one of the 22 people left on this planet who'd watch both matches on Main Event every week, does anyone know where that show moved to now that it's not on Peacock anymore? I know they're still doing the tapings for it. 1
