odessasteps Posted January 3 Posted January 3 We saw Lita pre ECW in Maryland because she was traveling/friends/dating maybe with Joey Matthew’s and Christian York.i don’t remember who she worked on those shows. Victoria also had that time with Stevie on Heat, where Stevie was basically her valet.
Elsalvajeloco Posted January 3 Posted January 3 The craziest thing I remember from that time not seen since the current days of wrestling with the injuries is Victoria blew out her knee doing her finisher (not the modified Gory bomb thing she did but the swinging sidewalk slam deal). Then she came back later on Heat months later and IMMEDIATELY blew out her other knee because it looks she lost her grip and was trying to compensate by shifting her weight and trying to readjust her grip. However, she was falling simultaneously while doing this and her weight and the person's weight she was lifting came down on her leg that she didn't have fully under her (similarly to how Santana got hurt in Blood and Guts). OUCH. SUPER OUCH. What made it worse is she did towards the ramp on the outside. You can tell she was in immense pain walking back up the ramp, but she put on a brave face the best she could. Now that's a trooper cause most grown men would have been sobbing on the ground. That's why she spent the latter half of her career in those Donjoy knee braces. If you do that TWICE with the same move, that's a sign you need to get you a new finish, sis. And ultimately she did that's much safer. 2

Cleavy Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I could be out of touch, since I'm watching old WWF shows on YouTube, but (aside from MizTV) we're lacking the variety of weekly/semi-weekly talk show segment these days. (although AEW had The Learning Tree, and the less remembered about that, the better off we are).

A couple of British boxing commentators have used it, and I think one Premier League manager was using it as a buzzword (well, buzz phrase) for a while. Now Testicular Fortitude, that will probably remain wrestling-exclusive. 2

I cannot figure all of that out. Yeah it was alot of Girls and Guys in the Late 2010s that got hired as agents on the Main roster or Coaches in developmental they could still work. A good number of them were under 40 at the time they picked them up. I'm happy that they atleast get full employee benefits but I selfishly wanted to see some of them atleast get a match on TV. I'm sure they can work Nick Aldis into a match especially as many times they teased him working matches. He's very good at his role as GM perhaps it might take away from it if he starts working matches 2

I wouldn't have predicted that either. Sounds about right to me. You have never really shown much interest in Cena. Can't recall your feelings about Tanahashi but I don't recall you being super high on him. And Santo's retirement road is just kind of sad as you realize he had to pissed off a lot of people over the years to end up being something of a non-story despite how big he was in the past.

We know most fans who watch on TV are 50+ I'd say he's definitely ranked behind Austin, Rock, Hogan and maybe even Flair who is surprisingly well known with young people. 1

He's not even by whatever skewered criteria one might try to go with, but in terms of wrestling lies told to sell tickets & ppvs it's not particularly egregious. 4
