This latest Euphoria season is so fucking stupid my god. It's been awhile since a piece of media being so bad as hurt me this much.

If retroactive Oscar’s were a thing, Michael Keaton should win one for this movie.

RIDE OR DIE

Starring Hannah Waddington & Octavia Spencer

Premieres July 15th on Prime Video

---

They think they know everything about each other, but OOPS one is an assassin!   (Without seeing anything more than the trailer, it would be a lot funnier if the roles were reversed.)

We really need to get past this Gen X nostalgia bubble we're in.

The Vampire Lestat is really cheeky and really bloody. It pretty much takes the piss out of Anne Rice exactly how it should.

Oh, and Eric Bogosian does a killer Tony Bourdain impression.

He's fucking awesome in this movie.  It's one of those performances that makes you think, "shit, if he can make this watchable, he can do anything."

Did I miss the discussion of the Hulk Hogan doc on here?  It was...fine I guess?  Exactly what you would have expected, and glossed over a whole bunch of stuff.  But god damn did they do WCW dirty.  The footage they chose when they introduced WCW as a concept, mostly Dustin vs Bunkhouse Buck in some sort of streetfight, among other things, was totally aimed at a fall from grace narrative, like "look at Hulkster being forced to leave New York and work for these hillbillies."  Might as well have dubbed Dueling Banjoes over it.

If that's the Dustin/Buck match I'm thinking of (the Bunkhouse match at Spring Stampede just a few months before Hulk came in) then, ironically, it's my favorite match in WCW history and probably a top ten all-time match for me.

This Alfred Hitchcock Present episode I’m watching not only stars young Sally Kellerman, but David Carradine, Ted Bessell from That Girl, Howard Caine from Hogan’s Heroes and Alan Napier, Alfred from Batman 66.

Thank god somebody else hates Death Proof as much as I do and I am completely redeemed because it's the film's creator hahahahahaha

I've always thought it was ass, especially when it was initially paired with the far better Planet Terror

It wasn't just bad, it was boring

Death Proof is weird to me, because I only enjoyed the parts where nothing was happening.  I'd enjoy hanging out in that bar with all those people, but I live in the DC Metro area. Kurt Russell isn't even that bad of a driver compared to what I see every day.

I like Death Proof, but I also really like both Kurt Russell and the kind of 70s car movies that it's paying homage to.

Yeah, it's a movie where all the movie parts suck.  All of the parts where Kurt Russell is being the cool guy shooting the shit with the sexy ladies are great, but as soon as the plot starts moving, everything falls apart.  Matter of fact, if they remade Cheers with Kurt Russell in the Ted Danson role, Death Proof would be a good ass pilot for it.
