I eagerly await the Young Washington / Young Frankenstein crossover event

"It's Franken-steen."

"It's Wash-eng-ton."

Can't wait for John Adams, the monster, and Dr. Frankenstein to do their version of "Puttin' on the Ritz."

This has made me sad there's no version of Gene Wilder and Peter Boyle as the Monster singing "Sit Down, John"

I saw something where the original version of the did touch on the controversial topics at the end and, unsurprisingly, the family objected and so the film was recut to basically go the same way the Queen movie did

Right, I read the estate got final say on subject matter of the film, so we’re getting mythmaking, not tales of questionable sleepovers.

It's amazing to me how much WBD / David Zaslav fought against having this movie released. But yet so many movies that misfired were released easily (The Bride, Joker Folie a Deux, etc).

If I knew it wasn't possible, I would say zendragon has me on ignore

New trailer type things for movies we have already discussed

The Death of Robin Hood

Mother Mary final trailer

BTW - at least one of the songs is performed (probably unsurprisingly) by Anne Hathaway

Man, the first or the second Jackass movie is still the only movie I have ever laughed so hard I fell out of my seat for. And it wasn’t just me, it was another friend of mine too. Back then I had a group that would get together on Sundays to play video games, mostly Fire Pro or No Mercy or SD Here Comes The Pain or Ultimate Muscle, but we’d also go see movies and those first two Jackass movies were two of the movies we looked forward to the most. So you have 8 to 10 of us just dying of laughter during these things.

That was a long ass time ago. I’m always in tears from laughing at these but this one I might just be in tears because it’s an end to some of the most fun I’ve had in a theater with friends.

Thanks to the $217+ Million opening weekend, producers announced that a sequel to Michael has gone into production.

Note, the current movie ends in 1988, so the either we get a 3 hour movie on the making of the "Black or White" video, or... there's going to be some unpleasantness in the next movie.

Given how they did Michael, I imagine they won't talk about any unpleasantness and will do the exact same thing they did in Michael with recreations of the music videos amidst the minuscule plot threads that are shown.

Spoiler

Plus, a lot of what Michael Jackson was doing started even a bit before Bad came out. Maybe we'll see a version of David Lynch directing Michael Jackson during his music video

As long as Michael Jackson's estate is involved, the sequel will suck.

I saw Lots of Bubbles related chat on social media, like animal rights groups complaining about Michael having Bubbles at all.

I wonder if there's going to be an attempt to re-write history and claim in was all a frame up to get money

Yeah, the estate has to approve it as far as I know.  If they cover the “unpleasantness” at all, it’ll just be misunderstood philanthropist Michael just wanting to be Peter Pan for underprivileged kids.  They may allude to the lawsuits but I doubt they’ll be so bold as to outright slander the accusers, lest they attract a new round of suits.

Principle location one filming has begun for From the World of John Wick: Caine. I'm sure Rippa has already posted this and assumes I have him on Ignore.
