Dolfan in NYC Posted March 27 Author Posted March 27 Back around 20 years ago when Drag Race first started, I never once thought this will lead to a major motion picture release, but... here we are. STOP! THAT! TRAIN! Starring RuPaul, Ginger Minj, and Jujubee. Featuring about 500 cameos In theaters June 12th --- Could be awful, could be incredible. Self-aware camp is an extremely difficult plane to land. I'm just hoping Mama Ru has put this through some of the best comedy writers she has at her disposal. 1
zendragon Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Forgotten Island from Dream Works Seems to be what Moana was for Pacific Islanders and Coco was for Mexicans.

Hopefully I wasn't the only who saw the "Director of Hairspray" note and thought that John Waters was behind the director's chair for this. Can't imagine him doing a take on a ZAZ film but ... 1

Never before has one person felt so pwned by a mistake as Ru posting the "Trains Flag" when questioned about not allowing trans people on Drag Race. Now he's got an entire movie about how not pwned he is.

Andrew POE! Posted March 31 Posted March 31 I'm not feeling Jared Leto's voice, he's essentially aping Frank Langhella's voice. Still, I'll see this in theaters. 2

When I think of Skeletor's voice, it's Frank Langella first from Masters of the Universe (1987) then Brian Dobson in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002) and Alan Oppenheimer in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983). I have to say Rupaul has looked the exact same for something like 30 years...

I guess when you find your lane you stay TF in it(especially considering his MOTR success). I hope the movie is a hit, but it seems so meh.
