the NFC South possible decider will be saturday at 4, Ravens-Steelers will be Sunday Night Football

 

edit: The reason is that it's not win-and-in for the Bucs is that if Atlanta wins tomorrow and on sunday, the Panthers are in no matter what.

I was screaming there was too much time left.  Then I had three mini heart attacks on the final play.  When Caleb slipped from Huff's grasp, when Ferrell just missed sacking him, and then the pass itself.  If the Niners beat Seattle next week, they might need Warner to comeback in the divisional round.  Bethune is solid against the run, but I don't trust a single linebacker in coverage, nor the safeties.  Green and Stout need to heal up fast, Luter and Lucas were not it tonight.

by the way, some slight good news for those of you who, like me, have chaos-loving hearts there is actually one wacky tiebreaker scenario left in this year's mostly underwhelmingly normal NFL playoff picture.

Panthers vs Bucs is not quite a pure win or go home game just yet:

while the Bucs do have the tiebreaker over the Panthers in a 2-way tie at 8-9 if they win Saturday, the Panthers would still win the 3 way tie at 8-9 if the Falcons also win out.  Since the Bucs/Panthers game is on Saturday and the Falcons play on Sunday it would basically be a case of the Bucs knocking the Panthers out of the playoffs only for the Falcons to put the Panthers back in.

Though this requires the Falcons beating the Rams tomorrow night which doesn't seem terribly likely unless the Rams decide to tank rest starters for whatever reason.

So... tell me something, and I'm serious here.  

Does the Buffalo organization not have a contract for workers (UNION workers at that) to shovel the snow?   

These two drove 5+ hours to a stadium that they did not have tickets for to shovel snow for a billionaire who wouldn't have lifted a finger if they'd spun off the road into a ditch.

I can't imagine driving to Buffalo in the winter to shovel snow.  Unless they were being paid six figures, they were underpaid.  Seriously, this isn't even their local team.  There are at least four NFL teams closer to Marietta, Ohio than Buffalo.  There is absolutely no way whatsoever that I'd ever do that.

Wan'Dale Robinson reached 1000 receiving yards on the season

Robinson (who is 5'8") becomes the first player 5'8" or shorter to reach 1000 yards since 1989 and only the third player that short since the 1970 merger to reach that total

I feel like if we actually got out a ruler, we could add a few names to this list.  Wes Welker and Steve Smith being listed at 5'9" and based on meeting a few NFL players like Clinton Portis and Rudi Johnson who are listed at 5'11" and 5'10" respectively, I'd be willing to bet Welker and Smith are not as tall as they are listed.  Clinton Portis is 5'8" tops.  He's built like a tank, but he's not 5'11" in his dreams.

The AFC Top Seed still needs to be decided - with Chargers/Broncos being the most important game involving the 3 teams vying for it

And related to that - the AFC South title will be decided in the 1 pm games

And then for the shitty teams - the #1 draft pick will be decided

The Falcons are eliminated from the playoffs, either the Panthers win and it doesn't matter, or the Bucs win and the Falcons can make a three way tie for the division that the Panthers would win
