Tua Tagovailoa is 0-7 when starting a game under 46F.  He is also 6-0 as a starter vs the New York Football Jets.

Current forecast for MetLife on Sunday is 36F with a chance of snow.

Okay - time to do this for the first time

Via Tankathon (Win%/SOS)

  1. Tennessee: 1-11 (.083/.573)
  2. NY Giants: 2-11 (.154/.541)
  3. New Orleans: 2-10 (.167/.502)
  4. Las Vegas: 2-10 (.167/.556)
  5. Cleveland: 3-9 (.250/.483)
  6. Washington: 3-9 (.250/.512)
  7. NY Jets: 3-9 (.250/.539)
  8. Arizona: 3-9  (.250/.565)
  9. Los Angeles Rams (via Atlanta): 4-8 (.333/.500)
  10. Cincinnati: 4-8 (.333/.520)
  11. Minnesota: 4-8 (.333/.529)

Notes:

The Giants are on bye this week so they (unless other teams win) will drop at least one spot due to the Strength of Schedule tiebreaker

This week the Titans play @ the Browns, Washington is @ Minnesota and Miami (who is currently 12th) is @ the Jets (as Dolfan noted)

Thinking about the future

The Giants have 4 games remaining - 3 of them are against Washington, Minnesota and Vegas - so clearly there is a lot of volatility ahead for them

The Saints play the Titans Week 17 so that might end up determining the #1 seed. They (the Saints) also play the Jets Week 16

God, that Raiders-Giants game is going to be bleak.  I don't even have the heart to taunt you about that game.  But of course, the Raiders will somehow do something to blow a top 5 pick in the process.

Don't actually blame Koo after watching the videos, the ball was moving around even in his delivery stride. he tried to stop the kick but it's very hard to do when they are in that part of the kick

The Browns have activated the 21 day practice window for DeShaun Watson.

He must be added to the active roster by the end of the 21 days or he is ineligible for the rest of the season

So I missed the meeting where everyone decided they hated Mike Tomlin now

Big Ben and James Harrison join the list of people who thing he should be fired

Well Ben things Tomlin should take the Penn St job (and technically Ben didn't say fire)

Harrison means says that Tomlin isn't a great coach

It's so Niners that they moved up the rankings by just somehow avoiding a horrible collapse against the Browns, ala years previously.

You know you're down bad when Big Ben and Harrison aren't sold on you

their not having won in Cleveland in 40 years was such an odd stat (and testament to Small Sample Size but still, odd stat)

I'm not at all surprised because it's felt like 40 years to me and I'm only 36. I just kept remembering that disaster of a game we had there last time.

Yeah - its only the 7th time total the two teams have played since Cleveland returned as a franchise (4th time in Cleveland)

They have only played 13 times total in my lifetime (so since 1975)

(This is due to the combo of the afroementioned old system of AFC vs NFC AND the 10 years between 1993 and 2003 that they didn't play at all)

Earlier this week - the Steeler waived Darius Slay

He was claimed by the Bills

Slay is now saying he is not going to report to the Bills and is considering his NFL future (aka retiring)

The NFL is starting a program next season where all teams...

must pick any new field surface "from a library of approved and accredited NFL fields," the league's Nick Pappas said, and "anyone who has an existing field will have to replace that... field by the end of the 2027 season."

Aw, Pittsburgh won't be able to have a field that looks worse than my backyard anymore.

Aubrey with another ho hum 63 yarder that's likely good from 72 or so,

At this point, one of the following three things has to be true.

A) The football is filled with helium

B) Aubrey had his leg coated with Vibraniun, ala the Winter Soldier

C) The football is coated with flubber.

If I did the math right, he's 32-34 in his career from 50-59 after tonight. I feel like that's pretty good.

Detroit with the win tonight as Gibbs ties the all-time record for touchdowns before turning 24, tying Barry Sanders. Pretty dang amazing considering this is the first season where he's been the clear #1 and not 1A. And Montgomery is still really good and played like it tonight.

And no 4th down tries.

Still gotta be concerned with Hutchinson who got pancaked a couple times and overran Prescott too many times to count. He needs to return to delivering results.

And apparently we are getting the George Pickens that everyone warned the Cowboys about.   Some really great moments but man some moments where his head is completely not in it

Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch tore his Achilles last night and will mess the rest of the season and a good chunk of next year.
