I got an ESPN alert about it earlier today, so it's definitely not under the radar at this point.

We really just be letting anyone back in the paint.  I really want to know how down bad your program has to be to think, "I know who can fix it, Art Briles," and everybody else involved be OK with it.  That's a level of desperation I hope to never face.  That's not even getting back with your crazy ex who stabbed you in your sleep.  This is getting with someone else's ex after you found out she stabbed him in his sleep.  This is just piss poor decision making.

It's Eastern New Mexico. What are we even doing here? Why do they even have a football program? They have 6000 students. Surely they can hire a local high school coach instead of a piece of garbage.

I mean what's the best thing that could happen?  You win some football games.  What's the worst that can happen?  I mean, he won't cover up a bunch a rapes again.

Like you said, there isn't a high school coach with potential?  There isn't a coordinator on the staff who has some talent?  There isn't a former player looking to get into coaching?  It isn't even like Briles is a guy who needs the money, they paid him $15 million to go away.  Just think of all the quality human beings who are working hard every day to get an opportunity, but they give it to this piece of shit.

From all accounts it seems like it is a case of the "Good Old Boys" Network in action again as the AD at Eastern New Mexico was the Assistant AD at Houston when Briles was the HC there

Daniels has already been cut by UGa

How many driving incidents are UGA players and coaches up to in the last couple years? Maybe use some of that money they've got to get these dudes some Ubers.

Coach Prime announced that QB Julian Lewis will not play this week to preserve his redshirt.

Deion says it was his decision

wonder how many coaches became ethical enough for college sports once NILs came into existence

I mean it may be warranted in certain cases:

For those who can't see Twitter - Oregon State is hiring Alabama co-OC JaMarcus Shephard as HC

Ohio State should beat Michigan on Saturday. Even though Michigan is a very good team they aren't Ohio State or even Indiana level.  But that doesn't mean it is a lock for them.  If Day doesn't win then he needs a championship to save his job

If it's snowy and cold and if Tate and or Smith either don't play or are clearly limited... I could see it turning into an ugly low scoring slugfest (again) and that would improve Michigan's chances a lot.

Would be interesting to see how Columbus feels about Day if he loses again but has that Natty and a real shot at another.

Don't want to put the jinx on Michigan, but it would be some shit if Day loses to Michigan again then turns around and puts up back-to-back Natty's.

there is a certain amount of good fortune that Georgia Tech football is good in the first year that they're playing UGA/GT in the Falcons stadium.. it feels like a bowl game when both teams are good, and it would probably be more of a de facto Georgia home game if GT was bad

Tremendous.

Elsewhere in the SEC, Clark Lea is surprisingly sticking around at Vandy for another six years. It would be an amazing cherry on top if they beat the Vols tomorrow.

Ironically we found the word today that Lane doesn't tolerate and that is "hoe". A local reporter said earlier this week that "you cant make a hoe a housewife".  Lane didn't appreciate it 😁
