Dolfan in NYC Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 Someone found a letter you wrote me on the radio, and they told the world just how you felt... So we found out who LA Knight's opponent was! And I'll just let Kevin tell you... It must have fallen out of a hole in your old brown overcoat, they never said your name, but I knew just who they meant... But he wasn't the only big return! As the Ruler of NXT returned... probably to face and kill Sheamus at SNME in December! I was so surprised and shocked, and I wondered, too, if, by chance, you heard it for yourself. I never told a soul just how I've been feeling over you, but they said it really loud, they said it on the air... On the radio, whoa-oh-oh-oh! This week! The TOURNAMENT~ continues! And aside from Je'Von's impending death, here's what else is on! (It may not be summertime now, but that doesn't mean she's not still the queen of disco.) Enjoy your week 2
Eivion Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 (edited) The opening with the Cena love, Dom setting up the SS rematch, and the six man tag with Judgement Day against Cena, Sheamus, and Rey was all good fun. Solo/Ziggler was solid. Glad Nemeth got a nice reaction. The women's War Games segment was decent and a setup solid hero moment for Charlotte. Maxxine/Becky had a few off moments but was generally solid with some decent drama towards the end. I wish Maxxine won without AJ coming out, but I also get what they are building to given the later backstage segment with Rhea chating AJ up. Happy for Maxxine given the work she has done in the Dungeon with Nattie, with Gable, at the PC, etc. Hope she continues to grow and has a nice reign. Gunther/Je'Von was good stuff. Loved the crowd getting into Je'Von a good deal by the end. I only wish I didn't have to deal with Netflix's bs commercials. Skipped the main event segment. The matches were fun and solid with the tag and Gunthe rmatch standing out for different but obvious reasons. Gunther/Je'Von was definitely MOTN though I had fun with everything else. Story wise the show could have been better but was mostly alright. Still, I have basically no interest in what is supposed to be the biggest match going into Survivor Series mostly due to two of the participants, and that is just sad. The Natural Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 (edited) Glad Gunther brought back his music from his WALTER days. That made me smile. Gunther now wears a robe. Suits him. Edited November 18, 2025 by The Natural 2
worldcupfever Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 Great showing by Je'Von last night. He really looked like he belonged out there, and only so much of that was on GUNTHER being so good. 2

The Natural Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode reunited. @Brian Fowler and @DreamBroken. 3
Swift Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 After feeling like a bit of a slog to watch for the past few months, that's been two really entertaining back to back Raw episodes. Helped by hot crowds for sure but all of the Cena stuff has been fun as hell. Loved that six man tag last night. Everyone involved looked like they were having a great time. 1
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 I'll say this for Brock/Roman part 90210: at least it eventually creates only one match to skip over instead of spreading them over multiple matches. 1

Right there with you, and add Punk and you really have a match that i couldnt get paid to watch. Gunther/Jevon was amazing and while it has sputtered at times, Cenas retirement tour coming so close to an end has me feeling a certain way. He was never my in-ring favorite, nor someone that i would go out of my way to watch, but i cant deny the impact he has had on a sport that i love and the wrestling world is really going to be less without him. The time running out also makes you think about what the last year would have been like without the heel run. Was it a waste of limited time or did we need the heel turn to get to where we are now?

Was it a waste of limited time or did we need the heel turn to get to where we are now? Truth be told, I'm not sure at all. The heel turn itself was wonderfully done and a true "Holy shit" moment, despite the followup being less than stellar. Personally, i think we needed the heel turn so we all could realize that none of us really wanted a heel Cena. Whether we wanted to admit it or not, i think all of us wanted Cena to be good guy Cena to the end. I think WWE fumbled the retirement run at the beginning but as it comes to a close, i really see it ending extremely well. I'm hoping that Cena v Gunther is his final match and that he goes out like Sting. His final match is his final match and outside of appearances. I know @The Natural always has a great memory of great matches. Id love to go back and rewatch the greatest hits of Cena's career because at least for me, i know im going to appreciate his career a lot more once it ends, unfortunately. I do however know, Umaga/Cena from RR 2007 is one of the greatest Last Man Standing matches of all time and will be first on my Cena career rewatch. 1 1

Web Conn Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 On the Heel Cena flip there’s plenty of factors as to why it didn’t work I think the biggest one is it was set up to be The Rock Cena & Travis Scott as this heel faction and The Rock never showed up again. 3
HarryArchieGus Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 (edited) J'Evon/Gunther was solid as would be expected, but a bit underwhelming. I haven't watched WWE since near the start of this year, but was hyped to see this match. I'd seen that really fun J'Evon/Leon Slater match from the TNA PPV prior. I was curious to see what Gunther would do with Evans. Gunther was his usual excellence (not sure there's anybody better), but Evans looked kinda sluggish to me. I think part of what I was reacting to was probably the slow plodding WWE style. I caught a bit of the opening prior to that, and marvelled at this sleek production. I love how they set-up the shows with the arena entrances and small salutes to the city they're in. The commentary and Jackie Redmond are so fantastic. Cena's entrance was where I turned it off. Nothing else for me here. Tho, I do miss JD McDonough. Edited November 19, 2025 by HarryArchieGus

Niners Fan in CT Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 This was a fun show but I don't know what it is. Forget the outside of the ring stuff for a minute because it's all be discussed over and over. I'm just BORED by the entire main event scene in WWE. Roman, Brock, Cody, Punk, etc.. I think it's because it all feels so corporate and sanitized and dudes just going through the motions. It's become that "wrestling show about a wrestling show" that Hunter was talking about. Nothing feels authentic. 1
Eivion Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 Joe/Thea vs. Ethan/Chelsea was pretty fun with Thea in particular getting in a nice showcase. Blake/Sol built into something quite good and is easily the best match Blake has had since joining NXT. Dug the leg work, dug Sol not quite flying around to her normal degree and compensating at various points, and I dug the finish. I really like how brutal Blake got with the calf crusher and Zaria having to throw in the towel. Hopefully they don't use that to break Zaria and Sol up. Dion/Osiris vs. J'Von/Leon was another damn good match. Loved the frantic pacing and action with some nice work from all involved. Honestly this felt like the best tag titles match since Fraxiom left. Hope they run it back at some point. The Oba/Ricky segment was solid. I liked Ricky not being afraid of sounding cocky, and Oba's response felt perfectly in line with the ruler mindset. Myles getting his vengeance when Trick interrupted was fun to see as well. Tatum/Jacy was another fine match with the two somehow meshing even better than they did in their previous title match. Hated seeing Tatum lose, but I thought the finish made for a decent dramatic surprise. This was a good show wrestling wise. The weakest match was still solid and fun while the other three were quite good and well worth checking out. Story wise I thought it was a pretty decent show as well with the big title match for Deadline getting set and some decent follow ups to other feuds and stories. Shiloh's introduction vid was also and interesting point if a bit long. All in all a good show. 1
hammerva Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 Well so much for the talk about Jacy Jane going up to the main roster. Remember when Booker T basically said "if you are there for more than 2 years then either move up the roster or get rid of them". Too many guys and girls in NXT right now then are stuck in NXT because Triple H doesn't have a clue what to do with them. And Jacy Jane and Obi Femi and probably Ethan Page are on top of that list. 1
odessasteps Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 And yet when they trim the roster to get rid of stagnated talent, some people will complain (everyone is someone’s favorite) about that person never got a chance, etc.
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 I honestly think Page is exactly where he should be. I feel he'd get lost on the main roster (at least without Chelsea he would) but as the annoying NXT gatekeeper, he could have something. I like him, probably more for his old vlogs and the personality he showed there, but I don't think he's a can't miss guy. The North was a great team. Karate Man was fun. The NXT run has been pretty good. I just feel maybe he's slotted perfectly. 3
