Washington has released kicker Matt Gay

As a reminder - before the season they signed him for $4.25 million guaranteed which was the most guaranteed money given to a kicker on a one year deal

The most infuriating thing about signing Gay to that amount of money was that he's always been inconsistent over 50.  It wasn't like the Commanders were signing a prime Justin Tucker.

Hell, the Commanders should have just kept Zane Gonzalez for similar numbers at less money.
